the thing that works best for me is what i call a shot cycle.. left delt, right delt, left gluet, right gluet. then start over.

I would rotate spots when you poke. I too get really sore for a few days after a poke. switch it up it will make things much eaiser. I go right quad, left quad, right glute. left glute. I don't like bis or tris. Thats me though. I know some guys that swear by it. They only poke the bis and tris. You will have to see for your self.
