ingrown groin hair->staph infection->absess->lanced and drained->antibiotics...

Epilation, waxing, shaving they can all cause it, nest thing you can do is take hot shower/bath and use something to exfoliate (appricot scrub, loofah, sponge, etc) that way you can prevent ingrowns, it helps a lot, not completely though...... epilating is the one that causes less ingrowns... hurts like a bitch though :)

the urologist thought that perhaps the orthoscopic knee surgery i had earlier in the week allowed a staph infection to enter me thru the ortho slits above my knee cap.

right knee, left groin...i am shuffling around the haus today like some arthritic miami beach geezer... :(

Husbands friend deals with the same problem. He ended up having ingrown hair, picked at it, then it ended up getting all swollen and nasty. He had staph and had to go get drained and receive iv meds. (this was month or two ago)

He stopped by a few days ago and low and behold he has another one. Must suck!

Geeze, I'd never thought that something as seemingly benign (albeit uncomfortable) as an ingrown hair could become such a big problem. I loofah my hooha religiously. I used to get ingrown hairs on occasion, but haven't since I have been loofahlating my stuffs. :lmao:
