I have trouble seeing why so-and-so hates this-and-that, and why such-and-such a country needs to control this, that, and everything else. I'm not saying that there isn't a good reason for this or anything, more that I enjoy living in my little bubble world where everyone of every color in every nation -- ya know, the human race, I think they call us -- care about more important stuff than who has more bombs and who should control all the oil.

I think it depends on what part of the country you come from. In Kindergarten, (1983) I was exposed to various cultures and learned about different countries. All through elementary school (Public School), each school trip focused on the history & culture of a different race or ethnic groups. What I didn't learn in school (grammar thru High School), I learned in watching Sunday News Shows and PBS (Pre-History Channel & Cable) with my Dad

Am I where I should be about world history, I admit No. However, I am amazed at how ignorant so many Americans are to other cultures & countries.
