important question for women

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
what is yalls obsession with hoarding treasure?

why the gold, silver, platnum, and other sparkly things?

so we can show it off to other women, duh.

yeah chicks like nice things and they like to brag. example... have you seen that jared commercial were 50 fucking people are like OMG he went to jareds. i bet if i found a receipt from jareds i'd get ass!!

copyright on that plan!!

its usually gifted to them, so each bauble comes with bragging rights (expressed verbally or implied) that someone considers them worthy of a piece of rock. when they show it to the other girls at the office, they're really saying "fuck you bitches, look at me, I'm better than you". then when the other girls say "oouuuu thats beautiful", they're really saying "how many bj's that ho have give to get that"

then they all go out to lunch together and talk about whoever isnt at lunch.

its all very organized actually.

I've said it before, but what kind of women do you all know?!
My friends nor myself are this way. We could are less about who gave us what or how much it was.

Subz, it sounds like you hang with some awfully superficial females, not all women are like that, nor WERE they like that when they were that age.

The only jewelry I like has emotional, spiritual or metaphysical significance. I've always preferred semiprecious to precious gemstones and preferred silver over gold.

so basically you only wear jewelry if it has a benefit? such as +10 defense, nighsight, or increases your fireball attack?

I have a +10 penis of virility, with a special multiple attack bonus.

They are amused by shiny things.

The only jewelry I wear is sentimental, as well. A small diamond chip from my maternal grandma's ring made into an earring stud.

We feel the same way a guy feels when he is driving in a V12 engine going 165 miles/hr..get it now :p
MOst women love great wines, elegant villains, remarkable sex and beautiful jewelry....

Emotional, as in I never take off my wedding band except to lift weights.

Spiritual, I'll wear a pentacle or some other goddess/pagan symbol, the same way a christian will wear a cross or a jew a star of david.

Metaphysical, not as easy to explain, and there's no good reason for me to bother trying since people who are supposed adults would rather laugh at something than be open minded (not pointing at you). But let's just say that the environment (as in people) can have an impact on your personal energy, affecting some people worse than others. Wearing or carrying the right mineral or crystal or stone can improve how you deal with the world and how much negative shit affects you.

If I has serious moneyz I'd have a car collection like Jay Leno's, so I guess I'm kind of like a wimmens with jewelery. But I can rally that shit and all you can do is wear jewelery.

so you have beliefs and reasons for your jewelry other than "it looks pretty and shiny and costed money". i can respect that.

Its not about what you can do with it, its about how it makes you feel. Most people are materialistic, hear me out.
You want the v12 not because it will get you there faster (put it to use) but because its fast, exciting, expensive and gives you one heck of an adrenaline rush not to mention a whole lot of ass lol (its true)...They are classic-the Maybach, Rolls Royce, Bentley Cont. Gt just to name the few are top notch cars, everyone wants them but very few could get them. The one who does feels a sense of accomplishment. Its like finding that special girl that no one has (something about her that sets her apart from all the rest), makes you happy right. Or football for some people..why do they play? because of the rush-they love it. Or shoes for some women....Its all about happiness-whatever makes you feel good.
Jewelry is the same thing its expensive, meaningful, sexy--it makes a women feel good about herself. We also associate it with the queen of england and her jewels, the russian gems (the history behind it) etc...

but what is it about hoarding treasure that makes the woman feel sexy and happy?

i know back in the day alot of conquests and magicalness to having treasures and chests full of it, but people and society, were also more primitive back then...

ROFL

Women like jewelry, particularly as a gift from a guy, to make themselves feel better about themselves......

I am not that type of girl so I can't give you insight past that. I actually don't like it as a gift from a boyfriend. It's often impersonal and costs too much. Its like the default gift for materialistic wimmenz. Go to the store and get something shiny and pricey.
meh.

I'd rather get something offbeat, or spend the money by going out and doing something with mah bf. I'd take lingerie over jewelry any day. Atleast we can both have fun with that. lol. Some necklace that a thousand other women have..... not so much.

Someone else said they have some stuff passed down that means something..... I am the same. I got a few really nice pieces from my mom, grandmom, and godmoher. Once in awhile I pick up a chunky bangle or simple necklace, but I don't like a lot of gaudy stuff all over me. I don't need or want it as a gift. I know my bf loves me. lol

But that's me and I know I am in the minority on this one.

I don't think it's any different than men with the cars, motorcycles and even guns sometimes. Something that makes you happy when you have it. To me, the size of the diamond etc. is irrelevant. What makes it valuable to me is who it came from and what it means. Even if it's a simple band.

For the record, no one I've dated has ever bought me jewelry, because I've never asked for it or dropped hints of that nature. As a previous poster said, it's kind of impersonal. I'd rather you spent less on something that showed you pay attention to my likes and dislikes or at least put a little thought into it. Anyone who knows me well enough to be buying me a gift knows a) I rarely wear anything but earings, and b) I have a terrible habit of losing small things.

I dont think that you are the minority. Expensive jewlery is the lazy ; easy way out of a thoughtful gift..... and usually I'm not impressed with it(though I would never say so that would be mean and unappreciative)
