So I'm sitting at Command Central (my desk) eating my power breakfast (leftover pizza, Instone pudding, Pepsi One) and in walks IOTW (Idiot of the week).

IOTW: Was my computer shut off this morning?
Me: I don't know. I haven't been in your office (you tell me, fool. You were the last one on it)
IOTW: hmmm....he walks out.

Fast forward to 2 minutes later.

IOTW: It won't turn on. I'm turning the monitors (he has two) on and off and nothing's happening. Are they asleep or something?
Me: I'll take a look.

IOTW walks to the restroom. I walk into his office, press the power button on his computer, immediately proclaim success after observing the BIOS screen go by and walk out.

Yesterday, IOTW couldn't get spell check to work in MS Word. Somehow the language setting got changed to German so it wasn't spell checking using English. He's Jewish. Of course HE DIDN'T TOUCH NUTTIN!

$75K/year for this shit.

I'm infamous for my "user errors" too! I have to text DH to ask him how to turn on my numbers keypad everytime after "undocking" my laptop. I hate that stuff.
 
Fire him!! We have this piece of shit at our work that shows up late everyday and takes longer lunches.. I want to kick his face in and fire him but my boss is mr nice guy

where i work, we have to "call helpdesk" for every little fucking thing. and when we call the NoHelp Desk, all they do is give you a "work order number" and say a tech will be assigned. etf? suck my dick bitch i need help now. why are you working on the help desk hotline if you cant help?

Actually my title is Information Services Manager but since I am the entire IT dept I could call myself Grand Poobah of Ones & Zeros and it wouldn't matter. There's only ten employees so I do everything from hitting the power button on computers to SQL administration, VOIP, website maintenance, firewalling.
 
75K for some chill work is nice, I should have stuck to that pay grade!
 
what's you're training? i have my A+ net+ and a few mcps, cat 5 installation cert etc. i havent messed with anything in 5 years or so but still have the basic knowledge. think i could land something decent if i applied? or are people looking for peeps out of itt tech and shit?

some techs tell me they make $12 an hour and others say they make $25 doing the same kind of work in same area, so i dont know, just have to get lucky i guess.
