.......I'm running very low on energy. I have gone from 237lbs with about 14%bf down to 210lbs with about 8%bf. I'm planning on finishing the eq this week then running the var for 3 more weeks before I start my pct. I have been ridiculously strict on my diet. This weekend was the only time I have cheated in the past 14 weeks. I don't know if it's the diet, traing, gear, or combonation of all of them that is finally starting to really cath up with me, but I'm really feeling drained. I had to leave the gym after 2 exercises today because it just wasn't there :worried: . I'm going to continue to diet, and do cardio eod, but I was thinking of laying off of the weights for this entire week in hopes of coming back next week and being all juiced up again and ready to kill em. Would it be better to completely stay away like I said, or just go in there and train with like 50%-60% of max weights??

i would lay off the cardio, not the wieghts (i would however, lessen my sets ). I would also add a very few calories, all from fat and/or carbs. That should jump your energy a bit.

I felt the same way the best thing to do is take 2-3 days off from the gym and pig out/carb up. You feel better, guilty but better.

I agree with lil Chris.

I did the same thing a few weeks back, took off 5 days, it really made a difference.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm going to take this week off from the gym. Out of curriousity does anyone ever utilize a lower intensity week in your routines. For example I go to failure in just about everything, but was thinking about every 4wks throwing in a week where I drop the weights down to say 60-70%(especially when I'm off). How do you guys feel about this method??

I dont think a light week is what you need. IMO when you are off you have to train just as hard to keep building on your base. If feeling tired follow Chris and Radar's advice, take a few days off and get back at it.
