If your're smart you can't be a cop....

Given the financial rewards, I don't see how being a cop or a soldier is a good thing. Sure, there's the prestige of getting shot at to protect your values; but there are better ways to earn money then putting your life in danger. Like leading the unit and putting other people's lives in danger.

Not everyone is primarily motivated by money & materialistic acquisition.

Sure, there is duty and honor and all those things. However, my view is that there are people who are willing to take advantage of those things. It's like those on welfare. There are some who truly need it and there are some who are taking advantage of a situation.

I never looked at cops as be all that smart, well atleast the ones who drive in circles on the street. Some of my friends went on to be cops. Not really good at anything and were the ones in my group of friends we'd occasionally smack around because they talked alot but were pussies. It's a way for them to make up for their toughness and change their wussy perseption by all.

I have a few friends like that, when they became cops they changed.

Most quit hanging out,and would only hang with other cops kinda like a gang.

This is very true. I know a lot of guys who are cops and most of them are good guys, but there are a lot of cops who were the biggest pussies growing up, got thier asses kicked & stuffed in lockers every day, and are trying to make up for it now by being cops. Most of 'em still raging f-ing pussies though

Slow down buddy, I'm talking about the people I know who became cops. Someone seconded my point as well with personal testimony. Not all cops are like this, but obviously people go into certain professions for reasons. I.E. priests who like small boys weiners......
