I think what you mean is what if your household made a 3% reduction of spending, not income.

Well, sort of since the 3% is actually a reduction of a budget increase, not an actual cut making it lower than it was previous year.

I am most likely gettin' furloughed in april. It sucks but ill still be able to pay bills and other staples... Workin for the dod kinda sucks lately but I am happy to still have a job. its only from april-october (11 pay periods) I can live with that.

it's a temporary pay cut, not permanent. They should be happy at least they still keep their jobs & pensions. It's their fault for not having any savings to go througn this. Probaylb spent it all buying their McMansion.
