if u attend a trade show/industry exhibition, do they check ur companies identity?

i.e. to see if the companies identity exists. im basically gonna stick down a companies name for a trade show one that doesnt exist, its a pre-registration form on the internet. has anyone from here been to one, and if so do they do background checks or should i expect a huge mofo to toss my ass out on the street.

I have never been asked to supply proof of Identity
here in the states or in England.
If they do ask, OK, but give them a Bogous Email and mailing address al well as phone number or you will be getting slammed with contacts for months..
