If first shot was an infection, would you shoot again?

Hell I was ready to inject in my anal ring till that one thread.

I'm in the process of injecting into my anal ring. What thread are you talking aboooOUCH!

Two things: First, it seems more likely you got some bacterial contamination from your skin than from gear. Did you use alcohol first to thoroughly clean the injection site? If not, piercing the skin can push skin bacteria beneath the surface and infect you. Also you should never touch the pin with your fingers. If you do, best to clean it with alcohol. Second, I'm not so sure about baking gear. It does not hold up well to heat. Heating it to 250 is likely to denature the steroids and change them into something that does not work like a steroid. Some steroids can take heat, but most cannot.

I wish it was bacterial contamination from my skin instead of the gear. I have found out that I am not alone in being infected by the same kind of gear. My shot prep is good, I clean the injection site with alcohol before and after. I clean the top of the vial with a qtip and alchol. I make sure the needle doesnt touch anything. Ive done plenty of shots of decca and no infection. The first shot of this test and bam....big red ass cheek that is infected. All I want is to do my freakin cycle....first i get scammed and when i go to a source that is reputable and actually get my gear....I get bad gear...just my fuckin luck. I baked the gear and pray that it actually works. Some people have said that it has worked for them....I hope it does the same for me.

It is possible for the gear to be contaminated. It's happened to me once before. If you know for a fact that the gear is contaminated, the best thing to do is trash it and switch to another vial. It's not worth your health trying to fuck with contaminated gear.

Ok so I have 2 vials of this stuff. I was thinking about trying the other vial but if there both the same lot #, i assume theres a good chance the whole lot could be contaminated.

Do you really want to take a chance and get another infection somewhere else? I would ditch what you have and start fresh with a different brand of gear. It just sounds risky to bake the gear and take a chance a second time.

Possibly, but not necessarily. You dont know if contamination occured at the vial or earlier on in the processing that infected the entire lot. I think the latter is much less likely. I'd try the other vial and see what happens.

Ain't that the truth and so well said.

Good question and thread islandkurry....,getting a lot of good feedback and opinions. Stay safe bro!

I've seen a couple of posts about infections and I had a thought. Did the vial have the cap on it when you bought it?? Or was the rubber part exposed? If the rubber was exposed I wonder if "someone" had taken out some of the gear and then replaced the amount removed with oil. So I wouldn't buy gear that didn't have the cap in place.

The next point is pasteurization and sterilization. Pasteurization is the heating of food, usually milk, to a temp of 145 degrees for fifteen minutes or 165 degrees for five minutes. This does not sterilize the food but does give a five log drop in the bacterial count. This allows it to be stored in a refrigerator for a few weeks. To sterilize something you need to have it under much higher heat and much higher pressure. This is why autoclaves are used to sterilize instruments. But even an autoclave will not kill many viruses so today gas is used for sterilization. So baking the gear at 250 is really only pasteurizing the gear not sterilizing the gear. This might kill enough of the bad guys to get you by or it might not.

In my opinion it's not worth it. What are we talking about, a couple hundred dollars? Or your death? You choose.
