I just question what right do you or ANY other american have to ask for profits from a PRIVATE company.
Exxon/mobil doesn't create these prices, the analysts do (probably getting their pockets lined BTW)

I do. I have a retirement account (actually more than one). Millions of Americans do to and with the profits it helps them accumulate more money for their retirement.

If you are relying on Social Security I'd give Obama a call and tell him to veto the bills floating around that want to include illegal immigrants (FYI he supports extending benefits to illegals). The system as it is now will face a huge deficit in a few decades. It will be even worse if the benefits are extended to 10+ million illegal immigrants.

I don't know why I care though. I have prepared for my retirement. If millions of Americans suffer because they are too ignorant to prepare for their future and support a person who is selling them out they deserve to retire poor.

This is very disturbing. Taking all of the profits from oil companies and giving each American a $1000 check.

How the hell are oil companies expected to remain competitive in a global oil market and invest in future oil exploration of they are forced to give away their profits.

I guess it hasnt occurred to him that NOTHING he does will prevent them from passing the cost of the windfall tax DIRECTLY to the consumer.. so we can give the grand right back to the oil companies..

My dad was telling me up in Mass. or Maine they passes a law on prescriptions (or something like that) where pharmacies were charged like $5 per prescription and the money was going to go to make drugs more affordable. What did the pharmacies do? Raise prices to cover the added cost. I guess that pissed off the pharmacies.
