I think my juice days are over, not by choice.(Health reasons)

Well over the past month I've been having a whole bunch of tests done to see what exactly is going on. I felt like a fuckin lab rat.
What they found is that my left kidney has no function its just a sac filled with some fluid. My right kidney is working fine but there is a slight blockage in the uterer called a UPJ, which has been there since birth, and the kidney is slightly enlarged most likely do to the blockage. They also believe that the left kidney has been this way since birth.
So since I only have 1 functioning kidney and its slightly blocked that over time it could damage the kidney. So I'm going to have laproscopic surgery to remove the blockage and cut out the enlargement of the kidney.
The doc said I can't workout for at least 4 weeks after the surgery, and shouldn't go back to work for at least 10 days depending on how I feel. He also said that for the first 2 weeks or so I'm going to feel very tired around 3:00 that I'm going to feel like I hit a wall.

At least it can hopefully be corrected.Best of luck my friend!

best of luck bro, sorry to hear this. I had cancer back last year so I can relate to how your health can change your life. Stay strong and positive and things will work out for you!!

bigp3 what kind of cancer did you have? Is everything ok now. You're not kidding when you say how your health can change your life.

I had malignant invasive melanoma bad and had to have treatment and surgery for it. The doc said it was from the years of laying in the tanning bed. I am now at an increased risk for other types of cancer such as non hodgkins lymphoma, so needless to say it keeps you on your toes and makes you take another look at your life. As of right now I am cancer free, but I have to have checkups every 3 months to make sure. I guess this goes without saying, but I don't tan anymore,,, lol.

How much were you tanning? I like to go once in awhile in the winter. There seems to be conflicting information on tanning health/risks. Moderation is the key I guess.

I pretty much tanned to or 3 days a week for about 10 years straight. My doc said it is a genetic thing that you just don't know about. For example some people smoke their whole life and never get cancer and some people do. It is what it is. Just konw that the tanning bed does increase your risk if you have the genes for this. My advice, I would see the dermatologist once a year to make sure. Hell, I did not even know that I had it, my doc caught it and said it looked funny and my bloodwork was a little off when I was in for a life insurance physical. I had not symptoms at all. If I had let it go another year or 2 it probably would have killed me. So, just be careful and know that the risk is there.

Hang in there bro. Be as positive as you can be and think down the road. you've probaby worked hard to get what you have as far as muscle goes and I'm sure that even without juice, you'll still be able to maintain an above average physique. Plus think of all the money you'll be saving on gear.
take care and keep us posted.

Call me crazy, but I'm still thinking about juicing. I've done 5 small cycles in the past and what all the tests are saying is that I've had only 1 functioning kidney since birth, and this blockage has been since birth too. But my kidney functions are normal. So I'm now pondering if I should do another cycle.
