I think my juice days are over, not by choice.(Health reasons)

LOOK FOR A SECOND MEDICAL OPINION.

Not being able to juice is hardly the end of the world. On the other hand, needing a kdney transplant might seem like it.

Your absolutely right, I'm not very concerned with not being able to juice again, even though it really does suck, I didn't want to end it like this. I wanted to get to my ultimate goal and then stop juicing, if that would have actually happened. What I'm concerned about (health aside) is being able to eat enough protein to put on some more muscle naturally. It's tough for someone who's an ecto to put on size, especially without enough protein. Only time will tell. My priority right now is my health and getting everything figured out and under control.

Thanks for all the support.
Golden D you seem to be very educated in this matter, did you have any kidney issues?

Thats what I was thinking, I just hope I didn't damage the one good kidney that I have. I've done some research on this and found that all a person needs is 25% of one kidney to survive, I don't want to get to that point, but hopefully my one good kidney is working close to 100%.
As far as protein is concerned, I might have to do a little trial and error. I think I might just start at 1g of protein per bodyweight and see what happens. This sucks just when I figured out what works best for my body I have to start from scratch again. I guess on the bright side, this will help me learn more on nutrition.

no i dont have any kidney problems (lol voodoo, knock on some wood already), but as you can imagine, since the kidneys are a major drug removing organ, id get taught quite a bit about it in pharmacy school :)

its good that you are going to see a specialist, and suggest you get regular (very regular) blood tests and keep an eye on your creatinine

something critical for you to consider is that a source of a high creatinine value in a lab test is muscle catabolism. keep a diary of your weight, take measurements etc so that you can assess how much muscle you have lost

the last thing you want is to be eating high protein (1g/lb body mass is high compared to you average hot dog eating redneck) and losing muscle mass simultaneously- this will bump up your creatinine reading, and your doctor will likely neglect to consider the muscle catabolism as a source of creatinine- thereby overstating the severity of your condition

its not that doctors are stupid/incompetent, but in my experience many fail to fully appreciate the difference between a 150 pound coke drinking computer nerd and a 210 pound aas using bodybuilder chewing through enough food for 3 when it comes to looking at bloods

cheerios :)

Sorry to hear bro. Funny thing, well maybe not so funny is I'm in the middle of having a series of kidney tests for a stone also. It was brought upon by my blood work having high creatine levels.

In the proccess of checking as to why my creatine levels were high, which could be no problem if is strictly due to my diet, the stone was discovered. And it isn't one that's going to pass.

No dis here Bro, but that would be creatinine serum levels. Creatinine is a breakdown product of creatine.
