I think it's coming time for me to leave this city for good

i'm in the mortgage biz.that's the thing that kinda scares me about moving out west. It's just as saturated and the market is just as fucked as it is here, but i feel i'm smart enough and experienced enough to survive anyways.

If i moved out to the west coast, san diego or northern cali would probably be my destination. My buddy moved to san fran and loves it (no, he's not a fag), but that's a pricey city.

Far as what i want to get out of my system, since i've moved down here i haven't enjoyed enough good aspects of the city. I was in a serious relationship for a long time, and was really focused on my career for awhile. Didn't get to have the crazy single life, or take advantage of all the resources i have here.

I can probably accomplish the above in the next 6-8 months.

and yeah, if any good bros came through my hood, of course.
mortgage is fucked here too man, probably even worse than there. i know quite a few people in it, and all are struggling or scrambling to figure out what else they can do to make ends meet.

I've lived in both northern cali and San Diego, like both. Like San Diego the best. S.F. can be a lot of fun though too and the attitude there is NOTHING like what you described in Miami. Its all about loving your neighbor and feeling good.

Have fun living the single life, but if you meet a nice girl you won't want to leave Miami!

west coast bro! ask KB about how its changed his life.

I've heard stuff like that about Miami but never been. Doesn't DJ_UFO live there?

That whole competition shit, I feel that when I went to New York and New Jersey too. Weird sort of culture that I can't get comfortable in.

yeah...me and KB more or less have the same east coast mentality, so if it was good for him i'm sure i'd benefit from that environment.

DJ_Ufo lives there and HATES it. he's been wanting out for awhile. same reasons i stated.

Funny you mention the NJ/NY thing. I feel the opposite there. yeah, there is always a certain percentage that thinks that way, but overall growing up i met so many great people and had such a great social network up there.
i think that can be misinterpreted easily because new yorkers are always rushing/on the go/hustling. People are alot more real, here's it's just a facade

you are right, its the rushing/on the go/husting that I definitely picked up on. But it seemed like everyone was also just trying to get ahead, one up the guy next to them, fighting for a bigger piece of cheese. I don't like that pressure in my day to day life.

And yeah me and DJ_UFO have talked about how he hates it. I knew he was in FL, just didn't remember which city. I'm surprised he's still there now.

LOL, that won't happen. I will definetely not meet my future wife here, that's for sure...unless she's a transplant from somewhere else. Like i said, i just wanna have fun and with the resources i have it shouldn't be an issue. I don't want to leave this city thinking of all the cool stuff i could have done

i facking hate winter. although you'd love coming back here because it's home like no other place, unless you're a cold weather dude, fuck it. go west, young man.

aren't you from new york?

new yorkers are the coldest people on the planet..

i don't know why people say that. most people who actually live there will tell you the exact opposite.
are they impatient? sure...but that's because they have places to go and don't want to lollygag all day while people are twiddling their thumbs. it's not a retirement home like florida, that's for sure. New yorker are also brutally honest but usually real, and some people can't deal with it. i love it
Another reason that's a stupid stereotype is because with the amount of people you have living in new york and how condensed it is, people HAVE to be nice to each other just in order to survive.

florida is the slowest state on earth. takes you 15 minutes to order at a fast food restaurant. no one has a sense of urgency at all, people cross the street without looking and take their sweet time in the middle of traffic

lets see i walk into like 15 diff boutiques with my wife when i'm in new york not one person greets me.. i walk into bars no one that is working is nice.. i eat at restaurants they aren't accommodating.. i ask someone for directions on the subway he doesn't even look up at me..

i was taking a walk today through my neighborhood walked by 3 people all 3 waved hi to me..

i was walking through queens to try and find food prob. walked by 10 diff people.. not one said hi to me..
