I have one.
Some of you who have been here longer will remember our old pal Generico, a.k.a. señor generic spanish var, LOL.
Generico was gold, oh yeah, sure, everybody trusted good old Generico. The praise was being heaped upon him. No problems with Generico; he was fast, reliable and trustworthy; he was a “good bro”. And his generic var tested out to be dosed as advertised. So what, right? I wasn’t about to send him a large first order no matter how much of a “good bro” he was. I mean, the guy had only been around for what—three-four months tops?
I emailed him and asked if it was okay to do a small test order; a buck-twenty-five for some clen and proviron.
No problemo, mi amigo, I’ll ship it out right away. The week that I sent out my order was the week that he claimed he was going on his little vacation.
Business is dragging me down bros, I need a little break. Remember that?
Don’t worry bro’s, just send your order and I’ll fill it when I return from Bangkok. Sure thing, buddy. He was a nice guy that Generico.
And then, it happened.
Anybody heard from Generico? He just got back from vacation, give the man a break. He’s not returning my emails. Don’t worry; Generico’s a good bro. He’ll come through. Yeah, sure he will.
Two weeks later it was official; Generico was a scammer and it was all over the boards. Who knows how much he got away with; 10K, 20K, more? It wasn’t as big as coolhand, but he definitely got away with a lot of good people’s money.
And so here’s what I did. Even though it was all over the boards, I continued to email Generico and pretend as if I hadn’t heard anything. I acted as though everything was normal and I was just checking on my order. I appealed to his greedy side. I told him that if we could just get through this small order that I was ready to send him a huge order for some of his generic spanish Var, but I won’t do it until I receive this test order. He bought into it hook line and sinker. He responded by asking me how big of an order I was talking about. I told him about a grand. He then told me that although he didn’t have my clen and proviron, would I settle for some enanthate? Of course I would. Anything is better than getting ripped off completely. A week later I had my gear.
And that was the one and only time I had come close to being scammed.
