I saw Alien vs Predator

you thought it sucked as a movie? it wasnt entertianing at all? if there wansnt any alien or predator movies in the past and this movie just came out i would have thought it was bad ass, i just thought it could have been a shit load better being "ALIEN VS PREDATOR"

just to clear a few things up for you, theres a couple Aliens vs Pred books out. This movie was a loose rendition of the first book: Prey. The book takes place many years in the future on a different planet, but the same ideas are there. Even in the book, the Preds are impressed with one of the human females and take her in as one them. More importantly, the book opens a curtain on the Preds a little bit, and about their civilization. As the movie kind of touched on, predators are a warrior race who's lives revovle around hunting. In the book, they drop alien eggs on the planet and fight the hatchlings, so it was kind of cool how in the movie they had their own living baby factory. But basically they fight shit to proove they're worthy to the elder preds.

it was still stupid though, a pred should be able to take out 1-2 aliens with its bare hands, but the shoulder cannnon is majorly badass

It was fun but also dumb. And yea 3 predators shoulda been able to take out a good couple hundred aliens, then again the one was whooping their asses once he got his shoulder cannon equipped. For the huge one to be taken out by ONE lousy alien, actually they bother were taken out by ONE lousy alien was RETARDED AS HELL. The chick was hot though

the predators were very dependant on their weapons that the humans had taken.. If you remember in the first few movies they were used more than anything else.

the fight scenes in gladiator were more awestriking and breathless and suspenseful then this movie.

the "best" fight scene lasted maybe 5 minutes. the rest was just running and other stupid shit.

there was no "cling to your seat" type suspense and action. the predators looked huge on screen and they should've definately emphasized this in the movie, and utilized it as much as they could in the movie - but they didn't.

it was entertaining. but nothing mind-blowing. i know if a movie is 'awesome' if i walk away wanting to buy the DVD. Not so in this case.

the predator compared to a human is freakin HUGE but to an alien is a different story. I do have to admit though seeing them battle was awesome though..

haha i didnt know that all my posts were gonna be like that sorry.. The only thing about it was that I heard that its suppose to be a a hundred and something years in the future but its not.. if you remember he changed the dial to some date 2004? Also I like the idea of her joining up with him.. the preditors didnt see like they hated anyone they just liked to hunt. Thats why they usually only killed those with weapons and she proved herself worthy. Although I was a little comfused with this Bishop Wayland. In the 3rd aliens that guy said he was the maker of the andriods .. so .. if thats true how could there be a bishop wayland that dies in this movie? I mean sons look similar but exactly identical? I know its a movie so a few things I dont mind but that??

The dude leading this expedition was the same Android in the second movie. Maybe since this movie was set in current time, the second Alien was set in the future... they cloned the guy.

Exactly. I was so pissed when I saw that first predator killed by just one alien.

But in a way it does make sense, because those where just kids trying to prove themselves. One of the elder preds would have slaughtered the whole hive.
