Thanks for all the advice guys, this is really helpfull. :)

There are sooo many types of diets i dont know what to do. Carbs, no carbs, cals.. I just lifted my lower body and ran 2.5 miles, then came in and made a steak with green beans and a pickle. Of course only drinking water. The diet is the hardest part for me honetly. I know im supposed to eat chicken, tuna, fish, salad, eggs, steak and oatmeal. I wasnt sure about anything else.

regarding carbs, try concentrating on the RIGHT carbs not so much no carbs. You might want to do some reading on the glycemic index and that will help you learn what carbs are good vs. bad. Also, when lifting legs, you might want to go easy on the cardio. I think most of the guys on here do not do any cardio the day they workout their legs, and some even the day after. If you are doing lighter weights to toen and lose BF, then you should be ok to do cardio the day after you did your leg workout. Everyone is different but I found when I did cardio and didn't let my legs rest I got some soreness, shin splints, etc.

ohhh ok. Then i wont do cardio on leg days. My legs felt like noodles after i lifted and trying to do the cario was difficult but i did it.

Also, ill check on the glycemic index. Thx.

GEEZ,

These posts are becoming about as common as can i drink my winny...

Nothing will help you as well as a good diet and cardio...dont waste your money until your below 15% BF or you hit a wall....

do you realize the weight loss is just calories in versus calories out, meaning your body needs X amount of calories to survive and if you take in more calories then this you'll gain weight, if you take in less you'll lose weight. Also if you are fat you definitely have a problem with portion control and/or you don't excercise. Start running for 45 minutes a day while on the low carb diet and you'll lose weight. Just make sure your not eating more calories then your body needs to function. I don't think a great majority of people especially americans realize that gaining and losing weight is a simple process if you have the determination. You don't need a drug to do it. If your not losing weight on a low carb then you have either been on too long and you need to carb up to increase leptin levels or else your eating too much.

if you want to gain muscle, do squats that go all the way to the ground.

WTF are you talking about? thats ridiculous... and hes trying to lose fat, not gain muscle...

100% Agreed...

Thanks for all your imput guys. Ive lost a total of 18 lbs now and im still going. I eat oatmeal with splenda for breakfast, for lunch i eat steak, chicken, or pork, plus vegetables, and dinner i eat a grilled chicken salad (or something comparable). Does that seem to be enogh food? I am lifting too and i think i need more protein than that. I was thinking about picking up some protein shake mix and some creatine perhaps. What do ya guys think?

I would stay away from the creatine for now and yes a good protein would help. There are 100 ways to skin a cat, so this is what I would do if I were you.

I would get an egg white protein and take that with fat free milk and flax seed oil at night before bed. Not a huge shake, but something around 8-10 oz. Your meals are ok and are "real world" meals in my eyes. I would however try and reduce the amount you eat each meal, and have a mid morning and mid afternoon snack such as fat free yogurt or fruit or something to keep your metabolism going. you should try and eat 6 or so smaller meals throughout the day. If you want, add a little protein powder into your yogurt. I would also shoot for 3/4ths of a gallon of water a day (before about 5 PM) and add a multivitamin in there as well. This will change when you want to start lifting heavy but you seem to be toning and losing fat still right? 18 lbs, good job man! Thats a number to be proud of and keep going, you can lose more.

Do your research. Walk around blind and you will walk into the fucking walls. Nothing is completly safe, so dont add to the threat by a lack of knowledge.

Wayne, i dont know much about proteins, is there something that u would be able to recommend for me? Like from an online store?

You can use google or yahoo to search and find a gazillion answers. I did that and found this. I have used them before for multi v's and have been happy. Just look for egg white protein.
