I miss her

As many of you know, my fiance and I broke up. We were supposed to get married this weekend. You know what the worst part of it is? I miss the puppy that we had! I think of her and get all teary eyed, I miss my Trinket! I have chosen not to see the puppy anymore because I don't want to have any contact with my ex. This might sound stupid, but the truth is that there will be a point when I won't be able to see the puppy anymore anyway. Am I gonna go over there and get Trinket when she has another boyfriend? Of course not. I have just decided to walk away from her now instead of later, I miss her so much :worried:
 
I was in the same situation brother. After a while I knew I either had to take my dog, or I would never see her again. So, I took the puppy. :)

I was in this exact situation (was engaged, about to get married, etc), so if you ever want to talk, PM me.
 
I miss the puppy way more than I miss my ex's disrespect and sense of entitlement. I have a sense of relief that we aren't together anymore, but I miss the puppy.

That's the bad part, she is technically her dog and I can't do anything about it. I spent just as much time with her. She's about 4 months old and still doesn't weigh 2 pounds, she's so cute! Thanks bro, I may take you up on the PM action.

I just moved into a very nice house with a friend who is charging me next to nothing, I don't really feel comfortable bringing a dog into the house yet. I will get another one eventually though, it is something to look forward to. I never wanted a pet until I layed eyes on her! I'm not in a deep depression or anything, but I do miss her!
 
Oh shit I just realized you're talking about the dog :o Better hurry up and get it if you want it cuz it won't be a cute puppy for long!

You did the right thing. A year from now you will barely remember any of this and you will see the world in color again.

Funny thing about splitting up. We move out into someone's house ...(wich is a dear friend in my case my mom ) an we feel like idiots for being there . then split the friends in half ohhhh goddddd so sorry bro ....
Flip side is I am in my own place now annnnnnnn I FUCKEN LOVE IT
Stay strong the good times are on there way back it just sux ass for a little time
 
This isn't about the girl, IT'S ABOUT THE DOG! The girl wasn't right for me and there is no way that we could have made it work. I appreciate all the kind words though, you guys are great!

It is every girl's sense of entitlement that pisses me off.

PM if you are interested in the boxer pup, will be awhile but a boxer will make you forget everything and laugh your ass off. Great dogs.

If you miss the puppy so much, take that energy and cruise some animal shelters. You just may fall in love with a doggie and get to save its life...bet that could make a great guy smile.

I went through the same thing except I wasn't engaged. The ex-girlfriend kept the dog when we broke up. I miss the dog too. The funny thing is that I sometimes see the dog. I guess I have visiting rights. It's tough. Imagine if you were married and there were children involved and you couldn't see them? Now that would really suck. Hang in there bro.

I gave my kitty to my ex when we broke up, even though I had her before I met him. I didn't want him to be sad. Sorry about missing the puppy. Go to a shelter and get a puppy or a dog. That would help you and the dog, both!

Oh, no. That wasn't the case at all. We ended as very good friends, and it wasn't a matter of either of us cheating.

I was in the same situation a year ago bro, exactly. Only I ended up with my 2 year old golden, I could not imagine not seeing her. I know its tuff bro, but sometimes you have to do what has to be done. If you know your eventually not going to be able to see her as if your x is moving or whatever its best you start now. Its funny how dogs hit that spot in us that wont ever let go, a spot that a women never can find.
 
It sucks because I have never been attached to an animal in my life, and when I finally do I lose her! I realize that is a very minor problem in the grand scheme of things. I'm a lucky guy and have a lot to be very thankful for. I do miss her cute little face though!

I will agree that the attachment to an animal is of course different than that to another human, but that doesn't mean that it is irrational to love an animal and miss them.
 
I got visitation with my English Bulldog. (not a court thing, but agreed upon by the ex and me)
 
He is cool and at least I am glad to get him now and then. I let her have him for the kids since at the time, I was working out of state and he means a lot to the kids and her.

When my first husband & I separated, we had 5 cats & he refused to take any of them.....so we agreed that I would keep them, but he paid alimony of sorts for them for 1 year....I called it cat-amony!! :lmao:
