I may have fucked up my shoulder at the gym today

Since I've had a total of 4 shoulder surgeries, I've had a chance to learn a few things. What I believe happened is that you may have slightly separated your shoulder. This means that you stretched one or more of you tendons or ligaments further than what it is used to. Since your shoulder went back into place, that is what differentiates it from a dislocated shoulder. A dislocated shoulder has to be put back into place, a separated shoulder doesn't. The best advice is to ice it today. Don't let it swell up. Rest your shoulder to let the ligament or tendon contract to it's normal shape. They have "elastic" qualities.
