Here is an example from this Friday:
HIM: "Maybe I shouldn't come up this weekend since I'm tight on money until I get paid on the fifth, and I still need to buy groceries." (Said while he's standing at the gas pump filling up the car to make the drive to my house. He lives 2 1/2 hours away)
ME: "Oh, well, if you want to come, I'll pay for the gas this time and will hook you up with groceries.
HIM: "Great! I'll be there in 2 1/2 hours."
ME: Random musing about x-factor and other random stuff for about 1/2 an hour.
HIM: You can keep avoiding the conversation but it won't go away!
ME: "huh? what conversation?
HIM: "About money!"
ME: "I thought we decided that."
HIM: He goes on a rant about wanting to make sure we both had money for everything and how I was avoiding the conversation.
ME: "Ummmm....okay. ???? Don't come then."
HIM: "Oh, you witch! I just put gas on the car and now you are leaving me out to dry. IF YOU DO THIS TO ME, SERIOUSLY, NEVER CALL ME AGAIN! DO YOU UNDERSTAND? DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?
ME: "Yeah, I do." click
HIM: Calls me back
ME: Disconnects phone without answering.
WEEKEND OF SILENCE
TODAY HE CALLS AND SAYS:
HIM: "Hi. what's up baby."
yeah, he's totally nutty, but very cute.
