I lost my $10,000 hearing aids

Ok, so maybe I was a little hasty. I didn't lose them. Heh. They were in my car.

I feel like a loser. I got angry all day over nothing. Awesomeness.

I need a vacation. :worried:

lol....seriously. I felt like a major jackass. My friend told me I left them at the pool, though, and I didn't remember otherwise! Then I get in my car tonight and opened the little change bucket thingy and there they are!! Overjoyed and feeling like even more of a jackass.

There are some jokes that I'm fine with (like the "what?" earlier in the thread...I always fall for it and I always laugh at myself afterward). One of my best friends teases me all the time (she'll say in a loud old lady voice, "turn you're hearing aid on!"). What she doesn't do, though, is talk in soft tones to tease me in the way jack was describing. Jokes I can laugh along with. But that's just not nice because it plays on my frustration. Sort of like making faces at a blind person and laughing, and the blind person doesn't even know why you're laughing.

Jh1, Jack is just playing...give him a break.

PS - wow, this thread ended up being a lot longer than I expected.

thats what i was about to say. 10 pages about losing hearing aides. lots of e-sympathy going on. :)

You better let them remain "lost" and have the replacements done by the insurance company so if you do lose them in the future, you have back ups.

That's exactly what I plan on doing, while they still make them. So your advice still came in handy. :)
