I just watched Alexander for the first time and....

There is mounting evidence the amount of estrogen or testosterone the fetus is exposed too has a dramatic effect on brain development.
I had a pregnant fiancee I was preparing protein shakes for with soy milk.

the hormone levels that go to the fetus are so carefully regulated by the body that I don't think that such minor changes in diet could affect it...but I could be wrong...In theory soy milk might give her slightly higher estrogen levels that MIGHT very, very slightly increase the likelihood that a boy she had (assuming it's a boy) would become gay.

But once again, I really don’t think it would have a significant effect…after all if it was something that obvious you’d think people would have narrowed down the cause much sooner.

If homosexuality were genetic, the mutation would have removed itself from the gene pool long ago, due to its inability to replicate.
Not if gays still have kids with women like alexander did.

That way if homosexuality has any genetic factor, tolerating it and letting them be openly gay would reduce the rate of homosexuality in society. Purely hypothetical.

Look how many iterations prior to Alexander or modern times there are. For homosexuality to be genetic it would have to be a relatively "recent" abnormality.

Since this turned into the topic that it did - What about idential twin brothers where one is gay and one isnt - I personally know of three - What difference growing up would cause that?

For the trait to be genetic, both identical twins would have to carry the trait.

It´s not as simple as that.

When of identical twins, one is gay, there´s a 50% chance that the other twin is, too. Whereas only about 10% of people are.

So that´s still a strong genetic link.

I enjoy the ancient warrior type movies, Troy, Alexander etc, Back when the worth of a man was focused upon his courage and integrity, rather than on his sexual preference. We now celebrate cowards, as long as they are not gay.

Even though, I do think the bedroom scene could have been left out, it wouldnt have altered what was going on. Too much information thank you.

I have just finished the book "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield. Fictional story about the actual 480bc battle between the Spartans and the Persians at Thermapylae, a narrow gap in the mountains. If this type of warfare intersts you, read that book. Steven Pressfield did his background research, and the gore in the book is awesome. Face to face killings.
