I JUST SAW THIS CAR...turning into a...

pretty funny

my Trans Am got over a curb once and it wrecked the exhuast system and I had to purchase and install a new one myself since I couldn't see myself paying some one $500 for something I could do myself.

The '...' hooked me in.

IF thats the car, he probably caused at least $5,000 in damages to the front of the car lower body of the car, exhaust, maybe oil pan, etc... Figure if he has the $$ for a Ferrari, then he can afford to fix it.

That pisses me off to no end... when that happens to me in my Z06 Vette you don't realize how many roads in the city or anywhere else for that matter that look ok but will cause the car to scrape ot bottom out....i finally had to shell out more bucks for some chassis savers, they are heavy duty tiny wheels that allow the car to roll over rather than bottom out!Still i almost shit sometimes topping a hill and i dont have time to swerve avoiding a turtle.

RADAR

It's the cost of trading high clearance (and lower safe turning speed) versus the ability of taking some curve posted as 25MPH at 75 without flipping. As for me, I'd prefer the clearance and would never buy anything other than a full-size pickup or an SUV and just be content going a bit slower around curves. Some cars are built so low that they would bottom out on a dog turd on the road.

True dat..

With todays crappy roads and construction everywhere you go,
it would be a pain in the ass driving a corvette or other low low
car...

Speed bumps are another concern.

When i was 17 I used to help valet park for my buddy. The hall had a drive way that came up a little hill. At the bottom of the hill the transition on the steet was very abrupt. We used to come flying down the hill and bottom the cars out as we took them to the adjacent parking lot.

The blacktop at the bottom of this hill was all gouged out and there were deep groves dug into it from the bottom of the cars sraping the ground. It was great, sometimes sparks would fly out from underneath the cars. We were nice guys though, we'd only do that with beater cars that people wouldn't notice.
