Bunny, glad to see you are so confidant that you can handle it. Given your confidence you probably won't mind taking this little test:

Have your b/f lay the bike down flat on its side. If you can get it back upright by yourself (no help) you are big enough to ride it. If you can't... you need a smaller bike.

Dude a very bad suggestion. Has nothing to do with riding ability. Trust me on this one, it's just one of those things people always say. The first school i went to dispenced with that myth in the first hour.

Because if that was the case then no one would be riding the Honda GOLD WING, i am 6'2 and 255 and i can assure you i can't lift that beast back up alone.

MY FIRST STREET BIKE WAS A 94' GSXR 1100.
Ive had many years of high performance cars, one which ran low 12's in the 1/4 mile, a couple years of ARENA TRUCK, which i have many trouphies, and am even in a crash video because my wreck was crazy, and and also have lots of dirt bike riding experiance, and my 99' suzuki RM 250 is bad asss.

well 6 months ago, i finally bought my first street bike. i origanly wanted a gsxr 750, but fell in love with a mint 94' 1100, that had some decent engine mods allreay done. everyone told me i was crazy (stupid), and would kill my self, well so far i havent put a damm scratch on the bike, and have rode 4000 miles. my biggest danger are the old fuks down here, there blind, and have had my share of close calls.

i do race plenty of cars on it, still dont have the skill to race any worthy bikes, but as long as you dont get to cocky, and ride with enough fear in your blood, youll be fine.

Some of the truer words spoken.

That's not right! ....... You know what you have. Just respect the power!......I don't think the ability to pick up the bike counts, only the ability to hang on...Woo Hoo!......anyway, if you don't drop you'll be right won't you?

The 'Busa is technically an ST.
At 1300cc with 186 top speed (faster outside the US), it is far beyond the CBR 1100xx.

Not tossing gas on the fire but my CBR600 takes nothing flat to dump the clutch and be at 60. Those times must be with traction. Just be careful is all the guys are saying. It is a heavy bike and you don't have to be a good rider to get hit or run over. Looking out for you is all we're doing. Be careful, bunny.

I know. I am just excited and very defensive of my new bike. I am not planning on racing it and I will be very careful...I definitely respect the machine (especially because I am a tiny bunny and I know that the bike can take off with me on it).
I got cocky on my last bike and had an accident. My shoulder, and finger have never been the same since.
I have to keep myself in check but I am sure that I will not be maxing the bike out at over 160 mph. I am sure.

the motorcycle bunny (LOL)

bunny i'll race that beast anytime, and anywhere, in the USA anyways. You got a nice bike for what you want it seems, i just like stunting and riding like hell, beyond what the XX is capable of. Just be careful, laying them down sucks, believe me, i know.

Sorry wrong. The Busa is not a ST, whether a bike is classified as a sport tourer is NOT dependant on the displacement, but rather on the suspension setup and the rider position, meaning the relationship between the seat height and the handlebar height. In short the 1300 gsxr is a street legal race bike, it is far from an ST. Apples and Oranges like GWL9DTA4 said.

bunny, it may be classified as a race bike, but no haybusa could even keep up with a 600 on a curved road, much less a 1k or an R1.
