Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know shit about guns and I got birdshot, my brother said I should have got what yall said. Birdshot would be far more painful though because there's a good chance they wouldn't die from it.

At close range, birdshot will make for a pretty effective removal of tissue. For defence purposes, slugs or buck are better overall because they still have power after penetrating clothing, walls, etc. And retain more velocity over distance. Just go to Kmart or whatever, they will have what you need.
