I used to have a different position with my current job that did not involve answering customer service calls. Times weren't bad then. It's been in the last 12 months that things have gone to hell. I realize now that I should have quit this job 7 years ago when I was offered a geology job but at the time I would have had to take a pay cut.

Actually for a geo that isn't right out of college and has no job experience there aren't. I worked for 10 years as an oil and gas exploration geo chasing rigs all around the world. I'm probably going to have to get another exploration job soon since I can't figure out something else to do and quit my job several months ago.
