going to paint the outside when it finally gets below 80 degrees here.....picked out a kinda faded mauve/violet for the basic wood, a chanpaginish gold/brown for the trim, different contrasting/complimenting colors for all the mutha-luvin' gingerbread trim...black for the wrought iron, green for the cypress shutters that cover the doors and windows.....gonna trick it out nice! basic white and black trim is blahhhhhhhh...since this house is in the historical district i'm gonna make it worthy of the area.

home depot's behr color charts choices make you hungry, they sound so appealing.

i had help...one of the people who talked me into buying this house, an art professor at tulane university and an historic house renovator in this area since the late 70's, stopped by one sunday. at my request.....my color selections are suspect at best sometimes. i wanted back up and vindication of my choices.

we poured over the behr color chart book and poured screwdrivers into us. :p :artist: :Popcorn:
