Good to here you are getting your shiat together in this regard. Actually big weight is more a function of ligament and tendo strength than muscle mass. IMO!!!! I don't mean that it's like over riding, I mean that it's a bigger contributor.
When you start upping the weights, do 1/4 , 1/2 reps, build it to a full rep with slow motion. This is what increases the tensor strength.

You were right on the money about the tendons and ligaments, by the way. All at once, aches and pains and swelling around much of my major tendons and ligaments. I can't fuck around like that anymore, though, I have that bionic tendon in my elbow and I can't take the chance of damaging it. My achilles feels like it's about to snap at any moment. I can see gradual improvement over the last day or so, so hopefully things will be back to normal shortly.
