I don´t understand people who spend all their money on cars

Well, I used to always say that I only wanted a car to take me from here to there and that I would never buy a fancy car. However, once you have nice real estate and your retirement in line, you will want the yacht and nice car. It is different when you have the ability to do it without it being a stretch to pay for it. I agree that I wouldn't have a fancy car if my house were falling apart, though.
