I Caught My Son Taking Steroids

parenthelp1

New member
My son has been acting differently lately so I stayed home while he was out and searched his room I thought he was smoking pot. I found oxandralone after researching via the internet realize it is anavar. He had 2 bottles one nearly empty and the other still sealed. When he came home I was waiting for him with the bottles in my hand. I asked him what it was and he tried forcefully grabbing them from me. He left the house. After coming home late Christmas night he sat down and talked to me. He told me he was taking 5 pills (25 mgs) per day. He is 17 almost 18 years old. I now have all his pills. I gave him 5 pills so he can take today until I find out more information. He said he takes 2 in the morning 2 at lunch and one mid afternoon. He has been working out hard and consistantly since the end of 7th grade when he had a full armpit of hair. He is 5 foot 8 180 pounds. He has always been a strong kid. Recently he bench pressed 305 pounds 6 times at his football weightlifting jamboree. I came to an open board because I don't want to get him in any trouble.. Is his life or future in danger? Is their any detox or anyhting I should do to him. Will these pills harm him? Should I stop cold turkey or make him slowly stop? If I didn't find the bottle and he kept taking the rest what would have happened? I heard steroids can stunt the growth, but hes already taller than me. Also, he has accepted a football scholarship if they test him what will happen? Please anyone who can help

First and most importantly, 25mg of Anavar will not do anything to his "attitude" or make him act strangely... of course, other than acting odd because he is hiding something from his parents.

There is no "detox" specifically with anavar especially... his dose is also very low.

Ok, all that stuff aside... He has obviously made a choice to start doing this with NO research and that is a big problem. He is too young to start messing with steroids let alone starting something he is showing that he knows very little about.

Strong or not, 99.9% of people would be ill served in starting at that young of an age.

Everything you have heard regarding how bad steroids are is WRONG, but he still shouldnt be taking them.

well im just going to give you some quick help and my own opinion.
First off , he is too young to start using steroids. 2nd, Anavar has been given to young boys for medical purposes, and anavar is one of the "safest" steroids and is not supposed to cause stunted growth. If he tests positive for anabolic steroids through an NCAA college, yes he will lose scholarship and not be able to play sports. The best help he is going to get, is join this board and actually listen to the guys on this discussion board that know what they are doing. almost everyone is going to say "wait until you're about 22 or 23 and been working out for 5 plus years, then start "researching" steroids. but to answer your question about it putting him in danger, No. 25mg of anavar is a very mild dose.

if your son accepted a scholarship to a D1 school, he's gonna need the steroids =P

anavar isn't gonna going to screw him up, especially at 25mg/day.

parent sympathy post here. Can't say much on the actual stuff other than Var is a lightweight amongst steriods. Possession could get him into trouble, dunno about football scholarship/testing. More experienced people should be able to help.

He has researched them and he knows a lot about steroids, so how could you say that. He got a 34 act is ranked 4th out of his 568 sr class and has filled me with facts in the past day. He has told me injection is safer because orals pass through your system twice. He also told me and I verified by researching it that anavar is the safest steroid and they give it to babies. Also 25 mgs per day is not a very high dosage.. Could this possibly benefit him more than harm him? Is their any hard it could do? yes, its Division 1 full ride thank god saving me over 100 k. He will be playing running back hes very quick. hopefully he finishes his career injury free and get a good education
just edidted cuz they wont let me repost for 600 seconds

so now you are making excuses for him??

im confused

I would say not 22-23 as I have said many time in the past a kids Liver (And frontal lobe of his brain) is not fully developed until somewhere between the ages of 23-25. His growth plates also can be stunted. At least he picked an oral that has some of the fewest sides but I also would try and figure out if he is injecting test with it. Most people online would flame an all oral cycle (Especiall at that age because of the liver developement not being finished. Orals are harder on the liver. But like I said anavar has some of the fewest sides along with primobolan (an injectable).
He must have a decent job or gets a decent allowance because anavar is far from the least expensive oral to get, but out of ALL the orals at that age if they absolutely insisted on using against everyones better judgement, he picked the best one to take.

You are right in thinking he should stay off them however I am betting it will not matter what you will tell him. even if he did stop taking them today he will get to college and start up again with the rest of the football players.

Good luck.

these seems like a crock..

First you were all worried, now you're defending him and thinking it might better his career?

Now I dont believe you are his parent anymore. You are either him or his friend or someone wanting to take anavar at too young of an age and are looking for someone to confirm for you in here that it is a good idea. You wont find anyone to give you that confirmation in here besides other kids that are too young as well!

There is harm possibly if he does a large dose like say 75-100mg a day for an extended period like 6 months. He should be drinking lots of water. The half-life is very short I believe say 12 hrs thats why hes spacing it out over the day. Now as far as detection in a drug test I dont know how long it stays in your system. That should be his and your main concern if he takes these drugs and it messes up his scholarship that would be tragic!!!

i wanted to know who gave them to him and he told me he ordered them through the mail, and it was 90 dollars per bottle. he doesn't have a credit card, so i asked how he payed and he said he mailed the money with fed ex overnight, so i asked for a website so i could check it out and he said its just a guy that he emails, so i asked him for the address or email and he is refusing to give it to me "saying he lost it"

He will take steroids in college that is a fact. You still need to tell him not to take them and give concrete reasons why.

whether you're the parent or the kid or whomever you are here's the haps, incoming freshman to a D-1 you're gonna piss test. there's no maybe, you're gonna do it. if the school is gonna invest time and money they are not gonna risk bad publicity by having an investment like that pop hot on the test. and with a 34 act fuck football and go with neurosurgery. if he continues his scholarship is gone, until you get in and find out how the others are beating the system which will be his soph. year after his taemmates develop some trust in him.

Hey, buddy! What do you know anyway? I think this kid should get a head start and juice before college. J/K

What's up there Jager?

There is no right way to teach your son to to the wrong thing, AAS are illegal unless prescribed. The way I see it, you can only be against him using them. period.
Now, everyone knows that kids will do what they want, so there's the quandry. The relationship that you have with your son may be the biggest factor. You wrote that he said that the sources address is "lost", so now we can assume with some certainty that he is lieing to you. If it were me, I think hat I would convince him that I wasn't on some hunt to find the guy, just curious to see how he got them, end of story on that point. Then I would sit him down and address the issues dealing with the loss of the scholarship money for testing hot, getting arrested, etc. If he is as "up" on the health side of the story, it's futile to go there with him, he may have more info than you on the subject. But the other two are concrete issues that affect YOU as well as him. Those cannot be negotiated and won by him.
He obviously has good potential to accomplish many things, in sports as well as scholasticaly, convince him to continue to do the things that have gotten him where he is today.
Good luck, and don't give in to doing the wrong thing. That includes giving your tacet approval by not doing anything, especially now that you are aware of his intentions.

Your worries are because you don't know anything about what he's doing. That doesn't make you unique. It makes you part of the general population. The media has spoon fed you garbage about steroids and you're confused and worried.
One of the uses for the steroid he's using is for 12 year old girls with Turner syndrome. There is nothing safer in the world of steroids or even in the world of medicine for that matter. He didn't hurt himself and if he continued he still wouldn't have hurt himself. That said, he didn't help himself either. Because that is a very weak steroid he may have added a little muscle and strength but it will all be gone in a month from now. It is undetectabe after a month so you don't have to worry about any testing.

You can tell he's one of those dads that would blow his own brains out if that were actually true. Now that you mention it, every fag in my gym takes var. Hmmmmm....you may be on to something?

Seriously, it sounds like you're more concerned about his future than his physical/emotional health at this point. Either you realize roids aren't the hellspawn the media portrays them to be or you just wanna save that $100K on college tuition? Regardless, if he knew what he was doing he wouldn't be using var-or any other compound for that matter. He's not gonna suffer any major endocrine system shutdown off of that wimpy dose of var so don't feel like he's gonna be going through painful withdrawals if you cut him off cold turkey.

I'm no parent, nor would I ever want to be for reasons just like this. All I know is that as a kid if you told me not to do something, the more I wanted to do it. 2 things that were absolutely forbidden while living under my folk's roof were marijuana and roids. Now I've been on roids almost non stop 17 yrs and I'm a daily weed smoker too. The funny part is that I was allowed to drink beer at 5 yrs old-and was never denied alcohol at home as a teen. I would even bring my own beer into the house I'd buy from a certain liquor store that paid off cops to look the other way from their booze sales to minors. My parents were just happy I wasn't out drinking and getting into trouble. Now as an adult I think I've had maybe a dozen drinks total over the past 3 yrs. I don't even like alcohol-yet I'd probably cry like a bitch if you told me I could never smoke dope or juice again.

Anyway, food for thought. At least it's not crack. In the big picture I'd be more concerned with him getting HIV from one of the Brittany Spears Whore-alikes he goes to school with. An unplanned pregnancy could fuck up his future real nice too.

I love me some bigcracker posts.

sounds like a youngen trying to justify roids with our help. firstly as mentioned var does nada to the personality, it is given to young boys so it won't stunt growth. yes he is going to get tested if you are really his parent. this board is going down the shitter. how could you give him steroids man, he isn't even able to drink yet. if his liver goes bad you can't say he drank too much you will be responsible for it.

Must be a hell of player.

I went to school with a Kid who was All State in Football, Wrestling and Track (100 Meters.). He was the same height as your son, maybe 5-10lbs heavier during football season. He didn't make it to a College team because of his height.

The Anavar is not going to make him any better as a player. What he has now he got it before the Anavar. Just have get off that shit and use other alternatives that wont make him test dirty and lose his scholarship.

Get him on crystal meth and encourage him to become a horse jockey. Those guys make bank and only weigh a buck-o-five. Then you can give the horse steroids and place bets to make yourself even more $$$.

You could also sell him into white slavery somewhere in Mexico. If he's 17 you can get him on the Aruba Natalie Halloway program where they fake a kidnapping so nobody finds out the parents pimped out their kid to some pervert for $$$. They even bribe a few locals to say they're the ones responsible to take the heat off of you.

If you want to talk to somone who knows everything about the drugs....even more then 99% of the people on this or any other board, talk to a Dr., bring your son and you talk to a dr., they will answer all your questions in detail and will probably be correct, unless its a dumn Dr. Their is no reason not to, the Dr. will keep it confedintal (patient, dr. confadentiality) I probably spelled that wrong. Some Dr.;s wil evenprescribe these drugs as long as they supervise (not quite sure for younger people though).

Most doctors know nothing other than the scare tactics the media gives them, just like the uneducated among the rest of the population, scary but true

Like who? Ive been on this board since 2004, and have not been super impressed with some of the advice, im not saying they are now knowledgeable, because they are. Offcoarse you find the right Dr., but i think most people would feel safer talking to a dr. face to face then talk to somone on the internet who they have never met and dont know if the person is telling the truth or not.... (No not most Dr.'s, some Dr.'s) you have to be upfront and say "doc, im going to do it weather you like it or not, so you might as well be truthful".

well ulter for one... when it comes to outright knowledge about the TRUE side effects of steroids.

For instance my Doc, whom I love to be honest... was convinced that HRT (HRT mind you, not even cycling!!) would give me testicular cancer, prostate cancer and make me more likely to get a BRAIN TUMOR!!

can you believe that???

I mean seriously.... some doctors would tell a completely healthy patient that squats will hurt their back and knees...

The fact is, when it comes to things way outside their field of expertise, doctors are no more educated than the average person.

ask a doc what clomiphene citrate or tamoxifen or HCG (if you want to see a really funny look) do to a healthy male and i would guess that 8 out of 10 who are not endo's or HRT docs would have no idea

ok, i guess your correct about family dr.'s, but im talking about dr's in sports medacine....dr's who specalty is sports meds....

his atitude change is all mental he just thinks hes a bad ass cuz hes taking steroids.

and they only bad thing that can come out of this is he will be doing a lot more steroids when hes in college cuz he will realize that he can't hang cuz he's to small and needs to be stronger and faster, if he's already needing them to compete now.

later dog, what a stupid post. There are many NFL running backs who are and were 5'8. Even if hes 180 lbs now hes pretty strong at that weight. To make a blanket statement (and a wrong one at that) regarding his height makes no sense. I don't know the kid or his skill level but still, neither do you. Honestly he made the right choice, Anavar is perscribed to children and almost defintely will not stunt his growth in any way. He is too young, I agree, but he mad the perfect choice if he had to choose one. 25mg is a low dose and honestly probably wouldn't hurt him. I don't condone teens using juice at all. They should wait until about 24 or so. But your boy is smart obviously. Using calculated risk is a good quality. Maybe a bad move juicin, but still, can't fuck with his choice.

Actually all he needs to get outta that one is $300 and a day off. :jenscat

Giving my $0.02:

1. He is too young... PERIOD
2. D1 school... if they test him and he is + then no scholarship, no sports and BIG TUITION BILL...
3. See #1....

It could be worse... var is the safest AAS out there and the dose is very low BUT he is still too yonng IMO - he probably hasn't met his genetic potential as of yet...

PS - That bench is impressive but....

Dude, you write like a 3 grader on a spelling test. I wouldn't take any advice from you. The only doctors that are going to be remotely intelligent when it comes to steroids are those who use and endocrinologists. Doctors can also turn you into your insurance company for using, thus you being fucked.

I disagree. Unless the MD is into HRT, or experienced w/ AS and athletes, he's going to know about as much as the general public does about the use of roids for performance enhancement. The last thing this kid needs is a Dr spouting off about how these kids on an MTV special he saw took roids and had mega health/emotional probs. I have 2 Drs right now that are personal training clients of mine that consult me on what AS they should take-and all I have is a high school diploma.

The only people that really, really know what the legit pros/cons of any drugs are would probably be the RX companies . And I doubt they'd have too many bad things to say about their products no matter what. Who wants to live forever anyways?

yep most md's will no shit about steroids.

Go to a Hrt specialist OR look for a Jacked Dr. they should know about AAS

ok, i guess your correct about family dr.'s, but im talking about dr's in sports medacine....dr's who specalty is sports meds....
It's geographical-we have HRT clinics popping up everywhere here in Pho-town but I doubt the demand is that high back east. So with that being said it might be tougher to find a Dr that knows WTF he's talking about. In fact, I'd trust Ulter's opinion(shameless cock suckage) over the majority of all Drs.

are these posts anymore real? they seem like someone playing jokes, someone needs to double check IP addy's on these goofy posts. someone needs to have a new title here called IP Checker hehe.

Hey Jager. How's it going? You been eating and sleeping better? :-)

Yea something is goofy here. This parent all the sudden seems pretty liberal about having her teenage son taking powerful hormones.

parenthelp1

you should stop the var....you're too young...and you could get tested :)

and next time when you come on ef with such threads...try something better

Actually, assuming this is real... there is no proof that his anavar is even legit. Hell, most places are substituting winstrol or methyltest in the place of var.

Oh well.... teenagers shouldn't be juicing no way. I say swallow the tabs yourself and when he comes home bodyslam his ass and let him KNOW HIS ROLE!!

LOL! Glad you're feeling better. I am sure it'll take a little more time for your test levels to come back up. I'm on PCT, and stocking up for my next cycle in a couple months. (Found a good source. Paying one half or less of what I paid from the gym connection I had, fucking extortionist.) Hope you're feeling better soon. You need to move where it's warm :-) Come on down to California, and be a beach bum. We'll set you up in Venice and you can train with the big boys :chomp:

Guys Breaking News Just In. I Just Caught My Butt Plug Doing Steroids, Now Its Gonna Be So Big What To Do

Apparently Mc Donalds has just been busted for deeping frying there chicken mc nuggets in sustanon 250. The DEA also found the salt packets to be filled with anavar, and the sugar packs full of d-bol.

They got suspicious when the local girls softball team who ate lunch there everyday started growing beards, wearing jock straps, and squatting 500lbs for reps.
