I called the Post Office and asked them

If I were sent a package with the correct name and address EXCEPT for the town, would it still get there?

Example,

John Dowjones
123 Main street
Colony , New York 12345

but the DUMBASSES SENT it to this address,

John Dowjones
123 Main street
Columbus Heights, New York 12345 This address does NOT exist. The town does but not anything else is correct.

Will the package get to me? Does the name of town really count as long as theres a zip code, should`nt I be OK?

btw, the PO had no clue... "If it does`nt get there, they`ll return to sender" BUT IS THE FREAKING TOWN IMPORTANT??? I asked her 5 times!!!
