I am really down in the dumpsters ... should I do a cycle?

LoneTree,

Its gonna happen once in a while. Do not let it get you down man, I know you feel like shit ( and thats just the booze doing a nice downer on your central nervous system ). Just try and figure out what triggered it and next time just do your best to avoid it.

Some cardio , and s-load of water and just time will get you out of the low.
If you did a bender then gear won't help.

My 2cents.

Awesome.

I request you look at the strength and fortitude of character to do what you just did, and then tell people about it.

And that you are talking about it also indicates it will be even less of a problem for you than you realise.

RESPECT.

One week out of two years, that is a wee drop in the bucket hun.

Think of it in these terms. You have been on a great diet and making progress, but you have a couple of cheat meals on the weekend.

Does it mean you have blown your diet?

Of course it doesn't.

It has had you realise though how CRAP you feel when you break the diet, have that drink.

Just a little reminder about how much better things are when you don't drink.

Thank you very much every one for your time and effort to encourage me.
It is a slippery slope of deluding yourself that you have gained 'control' over it.
Once again I learned that the best way is never to step on the path.
And keep on telling myself that 'I don't need it'.

Once again, I really appreciate every one for your help and encouragement. It is a great morale booster to know that there are people who care enough to spend their time and effort to help you.

To answer one question, I told myself that my health was worth more than the bottle of Cognac. If I had not done that during a moment of strength, it would have ended up in my body.

Once again, thank you very much.

don't replace one vice with another bro....it's not going to fill that void.

glad alot of bro's came out with some good advice on this thread. you slipped momentarily, but you'll be ok. make sure you got everything in check, then if you want to do a cycle once you're stabilized and in the right mindset..go for it.

This is what I did, and it worked for me. I was down at rock bottom 2.7 years ago when I was comming off of a 10yr addiction to pain meds -AND- my girl of 17yrs filed for divorce. Hell, I wasn't at rock bottom, I was in the basement of rock bottom. My regular doc got me on anti-depressant (Wellbutrin). I then went in the gym and trained hard naturally, for a while till the Wellbutrin leveled out (approx 2 months). Feeling much, much better I then started juice and haven't stopped lifting since. Moral of the story..there are very good anti-depressants out there and only do the juice when you are not depressed anymore.

I agree half. That's like making chemo jokes to a cancer patient.

People don't understand how terrible that disease is. It will take everything you have. Then it will take you. I'm in my 8th year of sobriety.
I work with and sponser guys trying to get sober. It's nothing to joke about.

Your analogy about cancer patients is right on. Slips happen, so you get back on the wagon ASAP. Which he is doing. I advised him to NOT run a cycle right now, until he gets ahandle on this situation
I have been sober for nearly 8 years.
