Hypoglycemia when "on"

Stryker1992

Has anyone else ever noticed issues related to hypoglycemia when on a cycle? I have a couple of times now, the most severe being this evening. I did not have a good day of eating. I am taking beastdrol and in the middle of my workout tonight I started to feel a "sugar crash" I took a red bull to get through it but by time I got home I had soaked through two t shirts, my sweatshirt, was dizzy, lightheaded, shaking..etc. I have had issues like this before but notice it gets worse when I have been only cycle...

It has probably been 30 minutes since I ate and I am still not 100 percent regulated. i almosy called a damn ambulance because I ws afraid of seizing or passing out!

anyone,.....?

Hypoglycemia occurs when:

Your body's sugar (glucose) is used up too quickly
Glucose is released into the bloodstream too slowly
Too much insulin is released into the bloodstream
Insulin is a hormone that reduces blood sugar. It is produced by the pancreas in response to increased glucose
Red Bull is one of the worst things you can take ,another is gatorade,I suspect you have type 2 diabetes, get a blood gluclose monitor about $20.00 i believe everyone should have one, there are over 3 million people in the usa that have type 2 diabetes and don't even know it. your normal range should be between 80-120 (blood sugar)You should have some fruit such as grapes before you train ,raisins before & after along with a good protein shake after working out, diet should contain lots of green leafy vegetables,You should avoid sweets at all costs and start reading the sugar/carb index on food before you buy it, controlling your weight is the first step in fighting this disease, also cardio to help regulate your metabolism and keep fat levels down is one of the fIrst steps you can take,if you can do this, then responsible use of steroids is acceptable.

Another problem could be with your liver. It's the liver that releases glucose when you blood glucose gets low. You do need to check your blood glucose with a meter. You can order them on line without a prescription. Get one and keep a log of what your fasting BG is, meaning when you wakeup in the morning, and what your Blood Glucose after working out is. Take this log with you when you go talk to your doc.

Now for the bad news. There is really very little that can be done for diabetes. The only real drug that works in insulin. The only oral, that doesn't fuck you up big time, is Metformin. Drugs like Glyburide or Glyposide and even Actos fuck you up bigtime. Can even kill you from heart failure. They just took an oral anti-diabetes drug off the market because to many people were dropping dead from it.

So if you get you log done and your doc says you are pre-diabetic or diabetic the only things that will help is insulin, metformin and diet and exercise. But in one way that is good for you. You need to have six small meals a day and you need to exercise. I am willing to bet you do not eat six small meals a day. So get your log of your BG eating as you do now. Then get your diet in order and eat six small meals a day, you could even check out carb counting but I don't put a lot of faith in it. Then you will have two logs to show your doc and for you to check out. You might just be at a point that six small meals a day solve the problem.

I've had the same nasty hypoglycemic chapters...very nasty situation. And I have suspected for years that I might have diabetes.

this is absolutely correct!

and so how do you cope?

I was just at the doc and hypoglycemia may not be related to diabetes fyi...

I am going to get fasting levels done

Well I found out that my body reacts that way when I am too low on bodyfat. Some people might tolerate low bf in a better way but my body doesn't like it. So I increased carbs and therefore total bf. just a little bit. It worked. Now if I don;t sleep enough, and don't eat properly the next day and I put physical stress on my body, I quickly deplete my nutrients and might get another hypoglycemic show. Also keeping a high sodium and high potassium diet helped a lot.

Also consider testosterone is a powerful hormone in terms of its glycemic control. If your on a cycle that has no test in it, your natty test is shut down and likely are running without the glycemic control that test offers you. Prior to starting TRT when I had low test I crashed all the time. Now on TRT it rarely happens.

Its not real common from what Ive seen over the years but some guys will get a little hypo. It seems to be caused by the orals in some way
from what we have found. Just be sure to eat something every 2-3 hours.
