How Would You Train Legs At Home???

Texas Ranger

Guys, I'm kind of in a jam and need a few suggestions. I'm going to start back training this month. I can train my upper body on Mondays(Back & Biceps) and Wednesdays(Chest, Shoulders & Triceps) at a gym on my job. I'm off on Fridays and all I have access to is dumbbells ranging from 10lbs-60lbs. Now, all I can do is High Rep DB Squats, Lunges & SL Deadlifts which will work I guess, but it just doesn't seem like enough. Any suggestions???

From Zero, I was thinking about buying a Squat Rack, 310lbs of Free Weights, and an Olympic Bar. I already have a repaired ACL in my left knee, so I'm not trying to use really heavy weights anymore. Plus, I found out my legs respond ALOT better to higher reps(12-15 reps). My main focus will be Squats(Moderate Weight), Front Squats, Barbell Hack Squats, Lunges, and SL Deadlifts.

Or check the pennysaver in your area. Or ask around the gym. Someone's usually trying to get rid of their old rack and weights.

O.K - here's some ideas until you get the power rack etc. I would also get a physioball and some heavy duty bands and ankle weights and you can torture your legs like never before!

1 leg squats with or w/o weights

Split squats

jump squats

Split jumps

sissy squats

stair climbing (2-3 steps at a time with weights)

front, back, side, diagonal lunges

walking lunge

Step ups (vary step height)

Step up press combo

cross box step ups

dumbbell leg curls (wolud avoid extensions due to your knee)

duck walk

1 arm dumbbell snatch

supine 1 leg hip extension

sprints - goto a track & sprint (or the beach in the sand)

also don't forget about varying the tempo of your workouts

Thanks for the info, fellas! Supreme, good looking out with all the exercises, bro! Weighted, High Rep Step-Ups, Lunges, and SL Dumbbell Deadlifts should give my legs a decent workout until I get my Squat Rack. My MAIN focus now is Fat Loss, so I'm not into going real heavy on the weight.

i got a power rack w/ lat tower and 310 lbs of weight and bench w/ leg extension and preacher for 600 dollers from bodysolid.com i bought it from galyans tho!
