How to tell my doc?

i started seeing an endo about a month ago and had 2 bloodworks taken that showed i have low test at age 21. my test was 98ng/dl. estrogen was w/in range as was everything else tested.

so 2 days, she started me on my first dose of test cyp. her protocol for trt is 200mg test cyp once per MONTH. how do i tell my doc that this is an awful plan and im going to be on a horrible roller coaster ride and end up feeling worse than before? i simply dont get how the half-life of test cyp is ~8 days yet she seems to think once a month is acceptable!!!

She is probably starting slow and will adjust dose accordingly BUT your the one who has to suffer.

Start by asking her where your T should be, which for a young guy I would say serum T should be a good 600 if not more. Print out the following pdf and bring it to her, pay close attention to the section "total and free T". It shows test levels 7 days after an injection. It shows serum T levels around 570 on 125mg/wk dosing.

Your 200mg month equals 50mg/wk which actually shows to have some negative effects in folks with normal test levels because it causes shutdown of natural production and lowers their serum T.

I started TRT when I was 50. Took documentation on Test/HCG protocols to my GP. I am on 100mg Test every week, with 250units HCG each day 2 days before Test. Actually, this was Dr. Chrisler's protocol, who I started with. This has kept my Test in the high normal range with no need for anti Es.

im pretty sure that my doc thinks im just looking to score steroids legally from her based on some comments and questions shes thrown my way. kinda pisses me off since i never have actually used any steroids at all and i just wanna solve my problem.

on a brighter note, i talked my doc into weekly injections of 75mg to start and see where we are from there

Its a start, at least she was willing to do weekly injections. Id rather not be on trt than deal with the roller coaster of monthly injections.

You need to find some literature on the subject and show it to her. There are many studies showing a drastic drop in test levels only after 10days with TEST ENAN/CYP.
A great dose for TRT for most men is 100mg every 5-7 days.

feb 7th shes gonna start me on 75mg/week so hopefully thatll be better. just sux that shes makin me wait but in the meantime i have a vial of test cyp on the way so i may jab myself once or twice before then

I feel for you. I was raised to 400mg every 28 days, but can not for anything at least get the Doctor to go to 200mg every 14 days.

It seems like your Doctor is at least working with you somewhat. Good luck and keep us updated on results please.

if i were you, id look into finding a new doc thatll work wit you better
