How quickly do you have to load carbs/protein after lifitng?

Bruh --> Bro --> Brother!!!!

I see... snagging is good...

Mid-workout protein drink sounds good if you're not gonna go crazy with your cardio. I tend to feel nautious doing cardio after eating, especially if I'm doing high-intensity interval training. I'll only have a mid-workout meal only if I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO do cardio after my lifting. I've taken Iso-Pure... pretty good product, I just won't have it if I'm dieting for competition though...

yeah, I do 1hr of cardio on the stairmaster and burn about 600 calories. thanks for your help and i thought you meant bro! im dumb!

your window after lifting is about 20 minutes. During this time your body is an anabloic state. After you are losing the immediate benefits.

Everyone is different, but I got pretty ripped combining my cardio/lifting into a single pm session.

30 min before gym - 20g protein/20g maltodextrin pre-workout drink and ECA-type stack
Very intense cardio - 15 mins preworkout
Lifting - H.I.T 1 BP/week for 45mins maintaining a high heart rate
Moderately intense cardio (stationary bike) - 30 mins
Immediate PWO protein/maltodextrin/creatine drink

Only water (and lots of it) during the workout.

A real meal 1 hour after completing cardio.

u have 45 minutes after before going into a catabolic state, so yes take a shake right after, carbs and protein. i don't know for cutting i am only bulking. but still u don't wan't your blood sugar dropping like that no matter what

This turned into an awesome thread, I'm just going to give karma to everyone! :rainbow:

ALSO: just to play devil's advocate here, but why besides lack of overall stamina/strength would one not want to do lifting after cardio?? Depleted levels of glycogen and other bio reasons??

I can't imagine that having your shake after your cardio is going to kill your cycle. Worry about something else.

that was the whole point of the question. Why don't you worry about something else?

still my opinion though that if he lifts, slams a PWO shake then does cardio its going to not be optimal..cant imagine doing cardio RIGHT after a PWO especially if your consuming 50g whey and 50g dextrose..even if you are consuming ISOPure still not optimal....only scenario is like musclegirl28 stated...cardio first on an empty tank in the AM, lift in the PM...if this is not an option then you can lift first then cardio then PWO....cant see any other way around it..you COULD try the PWO inbetween and see how you feel and how it works for you..
