How quickly do you have to load carbs/protein after lifitng?

Personally I eat it right before I go, but I lift in the morning. I does pose a problem I'll be it a small one. But the two most important meals of the day are pre & post workout your results always center around that 45-1hr(+cardio) a day when your in the gym busting your ass. If you proportion your carbs right you should use them during that time. Take some glucorell r for both meals pre & post and then no more problem.

and NO I don't have any affiliation w/ af

here is my deal, I am trying to SHED bf. I am on Eq/Fina (literally just started) and want to go from 192, 13%, 5'11 to 192 and 8%.

I have decided cardio is the key and so I am going with a 6on, 1off schedule where I lift one BP a week and then do cardio right after for 1hr.

MY QUESTION: Isn't is necessary right after lifting to load some kind of protein or carb into my system (ie. wont waiting for my PW shake a little more than 1 hr after my last lift hurt my gains??). I guess I could slam like a 30g protein zero carb isopure in between the weights and cardio (also, I drink a gatorade while doing cardio).

THANKS a ton bros!

If possible do Am cardio and PM lifting. Lifting and then doing cardio sends mixed messages to your body. One minute you are trying to stimulate growth and then you are trying to lose fat. Then you short circuit the prime feeding stage in the first hour after training.

I would flip it. Do 30 minutes of cardio... sip a light carb drink while you lift and then slam the Protein Dextrose shake. Zero carb after weights is a sure way to lose muscle fast. I have talked to 3 pro BB's and none of them do zero carbs after a work out. Even when preparing for competition. 70 grams of dextrose carbs and 40 grams of whey is a much better option.

great post, but curious why not a malto/dextrose mix PW shake instead of dextrose alone?

Actually, Malto and Dex are a good combo. I am just lazy...lol

Trust me you will still lose fat doing this... and hold more muscle.
