you ever get real bogged down in a book? you hate it and can't make sense of it but you keep plugging along?
last few books have been like that...i never quit a book w.o reading the whole thing...but these last two sucked, a auto bio about picasso and a literay study of ww1

ps. there are too many great reads out there to get stuck on a couple crappy ones

yeah but it is interesting to hear the dirt on Jack Welch and especially Ron Perelman. He was ruthless chasin tail. It is a good read.

I've only twice put a book down without ending it.

Once was a shitty author I don't even remember. I can tell rather quickly if I will enjoy an author and typically keep to a select few and certainly a certain genre. This one cat just didn't do it for me.

The other was To Catch a Fire. It was just so damn long. I don't get much into biographies, tho I've read a few (Joe Torre, Frank Sinatra, Oasis, Buddha). I was younger tho, so maybe I wasn't ready for it. It still sits on my book shelf mocking me....
