Please, don't do that! The last time I got beat down by a goodlooking guy with an accent, I came all over in my trousers. It was SOOOO embarrassing!

Humm... this is ridiculous... its this sort of stereotypes people in europe say the americans have about the rest of the world that makes for the average american reputation... i know some americans aren´t as dumb as you guys! We bath everyday, we use deodorants, and i personally clean my teeth 3/4 times per day... and with a floss also... that, i must confess, isn´t much popular here in europe, and some guys look at me with strange faces when they see me cleaning my teeth with a floss... the only person i met who also used a floss was a canadien, and he told me that it was quite popular in north america...
For sure, we don´t have nearly as many obese peeps as you guys have there in the usa, although the americans i met were not obese, some were indeed quite athletic!

I work for a company here that is headquartered in Germany..

They hire mostly foreigners and as a rule there are very few Americans at this company..

I like the diversity.. we've got engineers that can build cellphone towers out of coconuts and bubble gum but cant use their computer or wear deoderant.

its great, you get to see all the fashion that makes Europe famous every day.. like the sandals with black socks and slacks. or even better, sandals with white socks and black slacks..

then there are the bowling shoes that aren't really bowling shoes (at least they dont know they are bowling shoes).. WITH VELCRO!, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!

Body odor knows no bounds, they all have it.. the Norwegians, the Germans, the Thailandians, thailandish, (what are they called??), and South Africans..

Well, I just asked one of our new employees this question two minutes ago. He just came back for Germany.

According to him, Germans, Bosnians, French, and especially Turks are quite aromatic. Brits and Spaniards are A-OK.

People do not smell bad here, unless they are a) from a country where deoderant isn't available, so no-one wears any (Russia anyone?) or b) some socially challenged IT geek type person.

I wash every day and also after exercise. Brush my teeth every day. Wash hands before eating, after toilet, etc. Wash hands after handling cats before handling food....

Drop the stereotypes, please.

It can be that the hot and humid conditions in some US states leads Europeans resident there to sweat more, and it takes them a while to realise that more work is needed to keep the odour off...

Well I'm British and some don't count that as european......but I shower once in the morning, once in the evening and once more if I workout.

I have also had the benefit of working with people from all over the world.......and some of the comments made here don't match up to my experiences. At the end oft he day there are people with hygiene problems in every country......to generalise about a country based upon an experience with a couple of people is wrong.......otherwise I would have to say all americans have big mouths, are fat, have high opinions of themselves, are obnoxious etc etc (the only americans I have met in this country fit this description......but others I have met elsewhere dont).

You know who stinks......The AMISH...they smell worse then ass on a 100 degree day @ 100% humidity. I took my daughter to the zoo one day and they were at the monkey display....I swear the monkeys smelled better. We almost puked....you literally had to cover your nose with you shirt to make it through. My daughter who was 2 at the time even asked "What stinky?"
