^^yes oversleeping is not good as I've stated earlier.. but undersleeping isn't either. the Mayo Clinic recommends adults get 7-9 hours of sleep so not sure where you are getting your info from on we should get 2-3 hours of sleep.
and sleeping pills are not the solution if you have trouble sleeping.. they are habit forming and once you get hooked on them you are gonna have a hard time weening yourself off. if you are hooked on them i suggest you taper it down and try to quit.. the longer you stay on, the harder it will be to ever come off... i would never advocate anyone use sleeping pills, even natural herbs that help you sleep shouldn't be used longer than a month straight.
I do agree on one of your points that alarm clocks are useless, people who have them next to their bed look at them all night and they should either ged rid of it or turn it away. I do not use one.. I get up around 7-7:30 every morning like clockwork.
