100 pounders for 8's

Last workout I did yhe 115's...going to try the 120's next week, hopeing to get 5-6 reps with it.

supported or unsupported? hehe.

on a ball?
one leg?
rotating?
one arm?

opposite arm/opposite leg?
same sides?

too many variables.....

:D

Little girl in the land of the GIANTS........

I overhead press 30s :( I guess we all gotta start somewhere.

If I'm doing good then I came to the wrong place.......we got Phem and the girls over on the womens boards using 50s and 60s (makes me feel pretty weak) That's why I come over here to kick it with the guys (build me up and make me stronger) :)

@ 145 lbs I lift 60's for 3 sets of 4-6 as my second excercise.
BTW, if you guys are telling the truth about your lifts you have to be fuckin monsters
and Monstar, WTF are you complaining about lifting 80's, that's damn good

With shoulders done first - 85's for 6 reps. It sucks having long arms (yes - I'm bitching about my height).

And that's with full range of motion (twist at the bottom to get the max stretch) - not this b.s. half rep - top range tricep press I see in my gym.

I'm one of those dudes, or chicks, that voted 40-45. Well last time I tried I got a 40 pounder in each for 6 or 8 reps, I can't remember. Erick's not so great in the shoulders!:bawling:

i overhead press 60 lbs dumbells

i can do the 50's with a spot... 60s... eeek...

just hit a new PR at this on this past wednesday. 120s for a good set of 5 then two more with spotter helping me force them out.

I can press 70's 3 sets, around 8x reps. i can do like 75's maybe 4x. but you know, in order for this to be a good poll, we need to know your weight i think. i mean, if someone is pressing 70's and they weigh 150lbs, thats damn good. if they are pressing 70's and weigh like 250, that really sux. (no offense meant to anyone, just making a point) so myself, i weigh 192lbs. i usually do barbell press though and i do 175lbs. anyway, good poll, i always like to see where i am compared to others...

peace all.

I decided to drop a bit of the volume in my workouts for the next month (focusing on strength training) and today being shoulder/back/bicep day I did 70's for 4 reps and 2 sets (after deadlifts and close grip pull-ups). I weighed in at 155 today.

im on the 65's for 8, cant wait till i get up higher, though i consider what im at pretty good for 160 lbs 16 years old so someday i will get up there

well said. myself, i'm able to press the 66's (i know it's a weird weight, we use the metric system (it's 30 kgs)) for reps, althought my shoulders hurt when i do that due to an accident. oh yeah im 182 at 6'3', good point about that maximized!

btw im really impressed with some of the ladies, thats quite a lot of weight, more than my training partner can handle! props

I only used the barbell and can do 3 set at 150 lbs for 6 reps behind the neck. Not sure what my 1-rep max would be.

any of you guys preform these using the arnold press excerise. I myself like the arnold press and its said to hit all heads of the deltoids. Or do you guys just stick to dumbell pressing? any feedback is appreciated.

thanks

My best so far has been 90's for 7 times, usually use smith machine for shoulder press though because of a shoulder injury i sustained in high school.

I do them dead last at the end of chest/delt workout, 50-60's for 6-10.

I give delts there own day and I start with db or bb presses while I'm fresh. 130's are the largest db's my gym carry 2x6 seated. I dont like using them, too awkward and I expend too much energy getting them into position, yes even with a spotter. BB seated 315, a hard 1x6

Anyone ever notice anytime bros are posting up what they lift cockdesiel always post bigger numbers than everyone else. He wouldn't bullshit someone would he?

90's for 7 tonight last set of back/tris/shoulder workout

I use them for the anchor of delts on 5x5s. Right now at 52.5 DBs - one in each hand and standing.

My GF just started out. I think she is using 8s or 10s.

best ive done 132s for 5 reps on cycle

and 143s for 2 reps

atm doing 120s on a mild cut diet

pretty happy with those numbers :)

i think the hardest thing is getting the dumbell into postion, not actually shoulder pressing them lol

my goals 160s, then i wont take my shoulder development any further lol

If you are doing the 160's for reps you will be strong enough to throw people like 20 feet into the air lol!

90's for 10 it's weird I can rep 90's clean, I can do 95 for about 6 clean, but 100's only get like 1-3 and can't get any more out of the 100's

yesterday's dumbbell presses...
40's x 12
70's x 10 x 1
80's x 8 x 2
70's x 7-8 x 4
...on to upright rows

not a ton of weight but hands down my best muscle group
