An elevated master is a person that has reached the pinnacle of their spiritual evolution, who has achieved release from the wheel of birth/death/rebirth, that chooses to return to the earthly plane as a teacher. Their life is lived in the embodiment of transcendent love and sacrifice (in Buddhism they are called Bodhisattva).

Hah, goes to show what you know. The last of the Witchcraft Acts were repealed in 1951! (seriously, not kidding there, 1951, think about it).

So there pffffftt, no more burning. Besides, burning is just ONE way they offed them. Accused witches were: Crushed, stoned, hanged, drowned, stretched on the rack, broken on the wheel, had their fingernails torn out, their flesh torn off with burning pincers, the bones of their legs broken with wedges, and their shoulders and arms broken with the strappado (tie a persons arms behind them at the wrists and elbows, tie another rope to elbow rope. Raise person with rope, drop them, CRACK).

That's just the stuff I can recite off the top of my head. There's a whole lovely book about it "The Malleus Maleficarum." It was a guidebook on how what to look for in a witch and how to successfully kill them after (ideally, bloodlessly) obtaining confessions from them.

All sorts of fun in the blessed holy name of Jesus Christ, his church and followers!!!
