as long as possible. Helps to live with the person too. If you can go a couple years waking up to the person day in and day out and have seen them on their worst day, and still think it would be cool to spend the rest of your life with this person..........than so be it.

glad it worked out, but I would never marry someone I had not shared living accomodations with for at least a year. People are SOOOO good at hiding who and what they really are. Dating just doesn't work anymore. If I ran this country I wouldn't allow marriage liscenses unless people could prove a minimum of one year cohabitation. The christians would throw a shit fit, but I'd just laugh at them and point out their 50% divorce rate.
