How good ARE the Patriots?

So good their gonna go 3-0 and the Bills are going to beat the spread 17 pts., so I get a win and the 100,000K I put on the Bills.

Life is good.

And look at the Iggles!!! 35-7!

Wow.

While I do think they are the best team in the league, they haven't really been tested. The Chargers are obviously not what they were.

But shit, the Pats are scary. Fucking Moss.

Pats are pretty fuckin good.
Detroit making the comback on the iggles! unbeleivable! Roy Williams 91 yard td reception!
go Kitna!
actually I dont want detroit to win since Im a chicago fan but it is fun watching them do so much better than expected this year

good enough to beat up on the pretend contenders chargers last week. they really shut that fuckface fake ass LT. There is only one LT and his name is Lawrence Taylor. I bet the moron won't be running his mouth anymore. How many yards did he get against the Patriots?

more than he got against the Bears

ok, you guys are pretty good....

you'll make the playoffs, get a first round bye and lose somewhere late in the playoffs.

lots of football left though. few injuries could derail them

do I seriously have to go back and re-edit my post to specify the AFC road to the superbowl??....
yeah, lol
no, not really
i just have to be excited about the cowboys before we fuck it all up :)

It's actually pathetic how much better we are than the rest of the NFL.

Patriots didn't play the Bears. They've played the Jets, Chargers and the Bills.

they're not even going to be tested till the second half of the season. I honestly don't think the cowboys defense is going to give them much of a problem...........so unless my brownies muster up something like they put up against the bengals two weeks ago, the patriots aren't going to be challenged till nov. 4th when they play the colts, and then the ravens and the steelers.........but other than that, what a weak fuckin schedule. And for some reason I thought they played the colts twice........oh no, they play the jet's, bill and dolphins twice. That must be the weakest schedule in football.

Yeah...weak. Pats would be screwed if they played Houston twice. Tennessee twice would be way worse than playing a healthy Jets twice.

I think so............Tennesse and Houston I think are potentially tougher opponents than the jets and bills. But the season will tell.

it's hard to rate the Bills with so many starters injured.

3 of 4 db's
best linebacker and now his replacement is gone for the season...

Everyone looks "weak" when comparing to the patriots, except the Colts, Ravens and Steelers.

after reading the pats schedule, it is weak as fuck, they do have a chance to go for aperfect season if everyone stays healthy.. they do look sick this year and with randy moss added forget it.

they are nothing short of fantastic this season but may lose 1 game to a chump team like miami. the fins give them probs every year.

Thats their division. Not much you can do about that. All NFL teams play teams in their division twice I think.

The pats have the third toughest strength schedule. Every year they have one of the hardest. I don't want to hear shit about how its based on your ranking, for years the Heehawks have been at the top of their divsion and get a cupcake schedule.

WTF are you talking about? They make the schedule nearly a year in advance based on the teams strength at THAT time. They play

Colts
Cowboys
Chargers
Eagles
Bengals
Steelers

WTF are you talking about "weak as fuck" last year all those teams are SICK - this year all those teams are sick except the Chargers.

Weak as fuck. lol.

Eat a dick.

The Titans had the 2nd toughest schedule at the begining of the season and the way the AFC South is playing I would have to say that is still true with only INDY having a rougher one. I would take the Pat schedule over either one of those teams any day of the week. Has anyone looked at Indy's schedule KC and ATL are the only weak games and KC might be firing by then.

With that being said, the pats are sicker than any team right now but shit could always change. Let's say Brady goes down for the rest of the season and they loose a key lineman and all this smack talk is a wash. I've always said that the NFL is all about playing good enough to get to the playoffs and then just being healthy at that time. Take for instance the 8-8 Ravens, they were the healthiest team in the post season and got the title as a result.

The Patriots went to the Superbowl twice with backup CBs, linebackers and linemen. Randall Gay anyone?

We had Dbacks that were walkons from the street who were sitting on their couch the week before.

How about using a reciever as a DB.

JETS NABBED FOR SPYING LAST YEAR?

In this same vein, Jay Glazer of FOX reported on Sunday that there are rumors that the Pats busted the Jets in 2006 for the very same thing for which the Jets busted the Pats in 2007.

Per Glazer, the Patriots nabbed the Jets at Gillette Stadium last year, but New England opted not to get the league involved. Instead, the Pats merely asked the Jets to stop it.

Glazer also says that the league source "confirmed" the accusation. But the Jets deny it. G.M. Mike Tannenbaum told Glazer that there's "absolutely no truth to that whatsoever! Completely false!" (Okay, Mike! We get the point!)

Either way, we can understand why the Patriots didn't turn the Jets in. After all, the Pats were doing the same damn thing, and weren't prepared to give up the practice (or potentially get themselves in trouble) by blowing the whistle on the Jets.

And isn't it a little ironic that the Pats told the Jets to stop videotaping defensive signals when the Pats apparently were doing it themselves? Isn't that like telling a guest to take off his shoes at the front door of your house -- while you're in the process of traipsing around the shag with the remnants of the dog's dinner from the day before on your own?

yeah, I know.........which means that the road to the superbowl may actually go through Foxboro even if the colts beat the Pats in the regular season. Fuck@!!! Peyton needs his indoor turf god dammit!!!.....FUCK!!

I'll agree that these teams were sick last year, but this year.........I think only the colts and the steelers are going to give the pats problems. Verdict is still out on the eagles and bengals............the cowboys are good offensively, but their defense won't give the pats any problems, on paper at least. Anything can happen............like the browns putting up over 50 on the bengals. But so far their schedule looks real nice to go 15-1 or 14-2. They won't beat both the steelers and colts, because each of those games is going to be a war.

very true
the only reason the fins will beat the pats is because the fins ALWAYS beat any team with a hope of going 16-0 like the 72 fins

aka my 85 Bears! Damn you Shula, Marino and Monday Night Football!!! Dec 2nd 1985 is a day that forever lives in Bear History..

Yeah man, that'll actually be another good game. I'm exited to see what they do to Roethlisbuger. (sp?)

I think that game will be the only top flight defense they play all year. I dunno, they've given up some decent points to some not really good teams, including my browns. Either that defense is playing possum...........or they're getting old and another good defense is going to stop them in the playoffs. Unfortunately the Colts game isn't going to answer this question because it's just going to be another annoying Manning vs. Brady shootout at the OK corral.

They just beat the #2 defense in the league.

Patriots defense is good enough.
