I second that. I live on the west coast, and the amount of money companys are spending in India and China to outsource is just obscene. And its costing american's their jobs - big time. The government got us NAFTA and then we go and ignore it and buy from India and China.

Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, all places where we can go to get cheap labor and cheap intelectual talent, if only those countries would market themselves properly. When times are bad and america needs her friends do you think China will be there!! At least Australia sent troops to the Iraq war.

Moral of the story (while i get off my soap box), support your friends first.

Not quite true.. Asian labor is cheaper and its labor standards poorer.. that why you still get their products into the US cheaper.. and that is why Maquiladoras are moving out of northenr Mexico to Asia.. in particular since China got into the WTO.

WTO is the World Trade Organization..

And to speak about Asia is a generalization. for this comparison, of course we are speaking about labor-intensive, poorer countries like China...

In addition to that, there are many other factors... genetics may be one factor, the (lower? or lesser?) culture of fitness or bodybuilding may be another... For example, gyms are very expensive in Mexico City.. Golds is at 180 dollars per month and so many more.. in a country with a highly skewed income distribution, this fact may contribute to it.
