I just bought a house and want to start working out at home but I need some good equipment. anyone know of any deals? oh ya keep in mind in Ontario Canada
Start out with a good power rack and an adjustable bench. I think Powertec has a pretty decent product available in Canada. You should be able to find the rack for under $400 CAN.
I was fortunate enough to buy the Parabody rack about 6 years ago for that price. Unfortunately they were bought out a while back and their quality has suffered while their prices have gone up.
Once you have a rack and an adjustable bench you can add things like a lat machine and dumbbells.
For god sakes just get some free weights bro. Free weights not a boflex or anything like it. Free weights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only think they ever made that I liked was that dumb bell set they have now. Its like one set that you can click and the weight changes. I thought that was pretty cool.

Great idea, but Powerbloc did it first and better. I've been told by at least two separate guys who work in sporting goods stores that the Bowflex ones can break if you drop them.

He's right, i say you should start by gettin a good range of weight plates, a bench..barbel, EZ bar, dumbells pull up bar, some bars to do dips on etc, then maybe you would want to get an LAT pulldown, preacher curl bench, vertical leg press machine or whatever but dont bother wasting money on things like machines just for bicep curling or any shit like that
