Home Gym, Dumbells

Compare these:

If they're around the same price I'd buy the PB version. I'm sure more will chime in...

Yeah, I've been thinking about the powerblocks also. (Although I already have an account with Bowflex) Now that I dig more deeply into the powerblock website, they seem like they may be a better product and possibly even cheaper.

I see the show a comparison on size for the 30lb dumbells, but does anyone know how the powerblocks compare to the selecttechs when both are fully loaded at 90 lbs. I know it sure would be nice to be able to increase the weight even more up to 120lbs. Of course I don't have the problem right now.

I've seen them both in person and I would agree the power blocks seem better. Google around. I know I've seen them compared a number of times and I think the power blocks are always the better pick.

Wow...

Though I've never seen the powerblocks in person. I can't imagine how they could be that much better or even better for that matter than the select techs. The weights are so easy to change, just a turn of a dial and voila!

They never stick, malfunction, or anything. They just plain work.

They may be just as good. When I looked it seemed like the dial on the select techs could be a problem. The poer blocks seemed more rugged and you can add a bar.

Personally, they both are expensive to me. I just have been adding solid dumbbells one set at a time and use an Olympic set of handles too. The olympics suck, cuzz my collars are cheap...

nah...the dials are pretty solid. Plus they come w/a 5 yr. warranty. I honestly doubt i'll ever use it though, because these just seem to be solid and well built
