Hit a Vein!!! Pretty Scary

Was in kind of a rush this morning and hurried my winny/eq injection. Stuck it in my quad and noticed when it got deep it went in smoother than normal. Figured i must have just hit a vein so i aspirated. Sure enough the barrel started to fill with blood. Well, like an idiot i just pulled the syringe out maybe a quarter of an inch and proceeded to inject instead of pulling completely out and injecting in another site. I realized i had made a mistake before i could even trash my used needle. I immediately started to cough and could not take a complete deep breathe. I remained calm and sat down to work at the computer. Within a few minutes i felt a strange cold sensation go from my chest down to the front of my abdomin. Did get a bit light headed, but never to the point of blurry vision or near fainting. I have been left with a dull headache for most of the day.

I'm an experienced user and got a little lax in a procedure that should be abidded by religiously. Be careful.

The only thing wrong you did here was NOT pulling the needle out for a quarter inch, BUT shooting (after the 1/4 inch pull out) WITHOUT aspirating a second time. There was no need to pull the needle all the way out.
