Here's one for the "Dumb & Dumber" files

Quite by chance, I was reminded today of an incident that took place several years ago, and I figured I'd share. I'm sure some of y'all will find this as amusing as I did.

Long, long ago, in a land far, far away......

Some friends of mine got together for a little party. Present was one friend and his wife. We'll call them "Jack" and "Jill". (the names have been changed to protect the incredibly stupid and the irreparably embarrased)

Whilst sitting at the table chatting after several rounds of "refreshments", somehow the topic of Mount Rushmore came up.

During the course of said discussion, "Jill" pipes up with the following:










Brace yourselves.....

















And I quote:


























"Isn't it amazing how mother nature knew what all of those presidents were going to look like?"











Peels of laughter ensued. "Jill" was clueless as to exactly what was so damned funny.

I seldom actually feel embarrasment for someone else, but this occasion was the exception to the rule. Not for "Jill", mind you, but for "Jack."

This wasn't the only occasion when her 15W wit lit up a conversation, but it certainly ranks amongst the most memorable

She was serious as well..

In university, me and a couple guys had a girl convinced that Football was played on horse back.

well you have to admit, it is pretty amazing how that all worked out... its like they were meant to be presidents! Maybe a space will erode and Dubya will pop up!
