Help, my glute is swelling

My glute is swelling pretty bad after an injection on Thursday. I got a little blood when aspirating so I removed the pin, re-aspirated and injected. There's not really any discoloration like an infection, just a pretty good amount of sweeling and bruising type pain. Any suggestions? Ice? Heat?

Help me out I haven't encountered this before.

ok only been two days you are fine bro. how much did u inject. anyway use heat it works great and massage. if u have access to hot tub use the jet and blast the painful area it hurts, but it helps verywell. i got a knot of pain in my glute and it wouldn't go away for 12 days. so i saw doc and got antibiotics. took a day or two and gone. no problem it is called a sterile infection. but i believe u have just hit a nerve and will be fine in a day or two. if it is 10 days go to the doc. good luck

I found some other threads on this and would it be correct to say to just baby it for a week or so and see if it goes away? And I know some of you are from Atlanta so any suggestions on a doc. that won't give me a "talking to" about gear?

bro doc is for healing not punishing. the doc that examined my glute was a sports doc at u of a in tucson. she was quite pretty and i liked having her feel my ass. lol. yes treat it for a few days, don't touch it with gear. like i said man i dealt with this a month ago and had to go to doc, u wait at least 7-10 days. i think u hit a nerve, you will be fine. like i said though docs don't care. when i told my surgeon i was on deca he said ok well u will heal quicker. just find a doc u like and they can't tell anyone, u would own their practice if the doctor told anyone.

I had that problem once with a sus injection...I think it had to do with hitting a vein, causing a little bit of swelling and inturn putting some pressure on a nerve. couldnt walk well for 2 days but it went away on the 4th day

I encounered the same thing from my injection last week. I hurt like a serious bruise but all there just a lump (pretty big too). I took some hot baths and rubbed it down. I still have a small lump but it has gown down significantly. Give it 7-10 days like the bros said.

Ibuprofen...warm compresses will do you just fine...make sure you massage it well also

OK, here's an update. Oh, and btw, I happen to be on vacation on the middle of the frikkin' Bahamas right now dealing with this! Anyway, I went to the doctor this afternoon and she was super cool. They took me in right away which was shocking compared to waiting an hour in the states. Then she just says "what can I do for you?" So I say, "well basically I believe I have an infection due to a misguided injection." She says "where" and I say "the glute." She says "OK take your shorts off." So I dropped my droors and showed her the problem. She asked what I was taking and what dosages. I told her (a gram and a half of Enanthate/week and 1200mg EQ) and she said ok. So, I'm just standing there bottomless thinking I'm going to get chewed out. Then the doc. says well basically you're injecting wrong. She then procedes to show me the details and specifics of how I have been shooting too high on the hip (too close to the waist line). She says just lower your shots and this shouldn't happen. She says it's a much lower risk of hitting something lower. She then says she asked how experienced I was with this stuff and I told her very (many years) and she said OK your dosages seem fine!! She then gave me a hefty dose of Cipro and 30 Tylenols with Codeine and said good luck and have a great trip. The whole visit including meds. was $31.00!!!

I think I'm going to move to the Bahamas!
